I teach kindergarten to a group of 22 children with a variety of needs. I am blessed to have a collaborative classroom serving children with a variety of abilities. We have friends in our class on many levels of reading. We have pre-readers all the way up to children on a 2nd grade reading level in KINDERGARTEN. Kindergarten is so much more involved and we have not received updated reading materials in over 6 years. I supplement as best I can, but financially, I am not able to ask children in my class to assist with buying materials. Many children in our school are on free/reduced lunch and do not have good books at home for them to read.
