Classroom Organization Needed!

Funded Nov 14, 2014

The day our shipment arrived felt like Christmas for myself, my students and my staff. All of my students eagerly waited as we opened each box and inventoried all of the items. Each student was given their own personal seat pocket. I gave them each markers to decorate their individual name tag to put a more personal touch on them. As we were putting the easel together, I am not sure who was more excited me or the students. It took some time to assemble, but when it was all finished everyone helped to decide how to organize all of our belongings.

For my students to have a place to keep their own belongings is fantastic. The seat pockets are large enough to hold their notebooks, folders, workbooks, pencil cases and some photos from home. It really helps keep everyone well organized and motivated. The time of climbing over each other to get to their books is over. My students simply have to turn around and they have easy access to their own belongings.

This project has helped me with my teaching by giving me a much more organized approach. In planning my lessons, I am able to gather all necessary materials and have them ready to go when they are needed. The wipe off boards are so helpful with my differentiated instruction. Each group has their own board listing their aim, specific assignment and steps. It is helping everyone work better independently and in their own learning groups.”

With gratitude,
