First Graders Need a Sturdy Laminator!
Funded Mar 19, 2025Thank you so much for your generous donation! This laminator is so much sturdier than the one that I had to return! I used it today to laminate pictures of cryptid animals that we are going to use for our daily vote tomorrow! I am also going to laminate game boards for my students, so they can have a variety of take home math games. Elementary school teachers are pretty obsessed with laminating items so they last longer! I know that I am going to be using this laminator a lot! We appreciate your generosity!”

First Graders Need Sound Cards and Supplies!
Funded Feb 24, 2025Thank you for your incredibly generous donation! We love the new sound cards! I am able to use the cards during sound drills and our beloved puppet, Chef, uses them when he "cooks up" new sounds. I can have the sound cards by a bin near the rug and I was able to hang up a poster of the sounds. The first grade kit only comes with the poster and I love being able to do sound drills with the cards. These cards include r-controlled vowels and vowel teams. Thank you for helping my students to become stronger readers! Donors like you are our heroes!”

First Graders Need Books About Martin Luther King, Jr.
Funded Dec 30, 2024Thank you for your extremely generous donation! I was thrilled to be able to give my students their very own copy of a book about Martin Luther King, Jr. This particular book is my favorite book for students at this age. It tells about his life as a child and his influences. It mentions the Montgomery Bus boycott and also the Tennessee sanitation strike. Our school celebrates Dr. King each year and I am so happy that my students will be able to look at this book for many years. Thank you for supporting my students!”
