As a probationary teacher, I have worked hard to provide my second graders with valuable learning experiences. While learning how to navigate curriculum and developing my teaching style, I have also been intentional about getting to know what makes my students excited to come to school each day. My students absolutely love learning in small groups! Whenever I can split them up into teams, they become much more engaged. They love to help each other and use manipulatives. Therefore, I have tried to provide these experiences whenever possible. My students also LOVE to read. I strive to provide them with a diverse classroom library, as I want my students to be able to see themselves represented in our classroom. Finally, my students learn best when they know they are loved. I put our classroom community first and foremost when it comes to teaching. Thank you so much for investing in my students!
