The materials requested for this project will help support the students in their own personalize learning journey. Dry erase clip boards, dry erase markers will allow students to clip their work and have space to write out and solve problems individually as well as in a group. The magnetic name plates will allow the students to see their math workshop schedule built out on the board and allow for new groups to be formed based on real time data. Post it notes will give students an opportunity to give feed back and respond to exit questions at the end of class.
Having the ability to provide more flexible seating options with the chairs, color coding assignments such as projects for math and science, giving students access to other material such as markers, colored copy paper, having them wear name tags shows the students that expectations are high and allows them to show that they are scholars on the move! This allows the students to take ownership of their learning as well as being in charge of how their environment is cultivated.
