The majority of my students come from economically disadvantaged homes. They are fun and lovable, but many lack the basic skills needed to be in a Second grade class. My school tries to provide many diverse learning opportunities for the students, but I want to go that little bit extra to make learning fun and engaging all the time. It is necessary for my students to successfully read through 4 reading levels, be proficient in 2nd grade math and write stories with paragraphs by the end of the school year. It is hard to reach so many different learning levels and styles without the tools that make it easy and fun for them.
