  • Splashing Through Learning at Sea World

    Funded Jan 27, 2014

Thank you so much for supporting this amazing trip for my students. They had a fantastic time yesterday. They haven't stopped talking about their favorite events: feeding the seals and sea lions, learning that dolphins have belly buttons, being splashed by dolphins, seeing the sharks, visiting the coral reef, seeing Shamu, and learning more about penguins. My students were amazed by the Sea Lion, Seal, and Otter show and learned more about adaptations and habitats for these animals than any book or in-classroom experience could ever provide. We start our animal research projects next week and this was an engaging introduction to it! Now they have heard some of the vocabulary in a real world situation which will help them relate to it during our lessons. That is invaluable.

Additionally, we had a total of 16 chaperones accompany us [including several dads and even both parents!!] and for these military children, this was a memorable bonding experience that they will not soon forget. Thank you for giving so selflessly. It really means a lot to my students and to me.”

    With gratitude,

    Dr. Morgan

  • Readers Are Leaders! You Read to Me, I Read to You!

    Funded Aug 28, 2013

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom and some pretty amazing military children! This is a tremendous blessing to our classroom and has equipped my readers with "just right books" they love! There is a perfect mix of fiction and non-fiction to pique their interest and engage them. It is confidence building for them as they find a book in their leveled bin and know they will be comfortable reading it. It will help them build fluency as they increase their reading speed through frequent reads and rereads as well as their comprehension with high interest stories.

Building a strong foundation in literacy is strengthening my students' abilities and setting them up for long term success. They love coming to school each day and knowing they have these new materials. My students have been able to enjoy them and have new reads to enhance their passion for reading! While my item was backordered and no longer available, I was able to replace it all with several sets of the books and a listening center that allows multiple headphones. Students can share a book and listen to a story! This is such a great center for my students.

Thank you again for your generosity!”

    With gratitude,

    Dr. Morgan

  • iLearn With An iPad Mini

    Funded Apr 12, 2013

Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. The iPad mini you donated have helped engage and motivate my students. We've used the iPad mini to share in whole group, work collaboratively, and even cooperatively in partners.

Our school is currently very tight on funds, so without your help my students would not have had these technological resources to encourage their learning.

I am very grateful to you, and to donors like yourself, who so generously give to education.

    Thank you!”

    Dr. Morgan

  • Help Us Hear with Headphones!

    Funded Dec 21, 2012

Thank you so much for your donation to our classroom. My class is loving the headphones your donation brought us. We have an iPad and 3 computers which had either no headphones or broken ones and we were unable to explore the depths of them without sound. Now that we have the headphones we are able to take trips without ever leaving the classroom. My students love to hear the positive words from beating a round on a math game or correctly answering a question in on an AR test. Hearing the positive sounds makes their eyes shine and encourages them to keep going. Without the sounds, it is nothing but words to them.

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. Your generous donation has allowed me to see a tremendous growth in my students.”

  • Splashing Through Learning at Sea World

    Funded Dec 1, 2012

Thank you so much for supporting this amazing trip for my students. They had a fantastic time and two days later are still talking about it. Their thank you letters mentioned their favorite events: seeing the sharks, visiting the coral reef, seeing Shamu, and learning more about penguins. • Printing + Preservation = Pride!

    Funded Sep 13, 2012

Thank you so much for your incredible generosity. My room is so bright and colorful because of this printer and the wild imaginations my children have. The laminator has made it possible to create sturdy literacy activities and centers as well as preserve student work! The all-in-one feature has been great for that impromptu copy or to scan and send a parent some great work from their child.

I was even able to finally print a child's independent comic book project AND laminate it today as a surprise for his return Monday. Remarkable children deserve the affirmation generated and pride felt from such work.

Thank you so very much for equipping my room with these powerful tools. I will use this printer and laminator for many generations of students to come!”

  • Super Second Grade Scientists in the Making!

    Funded Oct 10, 2012

Thank you so much for your generosity and for funding my project. I am so grateful for your kindness, and we've had a great deal of fun using them in science exploration. I strive to keep my students engaged and challenged when their initial work was completed and now I have the tools and find ways for science exploration to be more fun..

I hope to share with my colleagues these innovative new tools and accompanying readers theater ideas so more students can be inspired to learn.

Thank you, again, for this incredible opportunity to reach my students at a new level!”

  • An Apple A Day Keeps The Students' Boredom Away!

    Funded Oct 19, 2012

It is with great appreciation and excitement that I write this thank you letter. My students have started to use the Apple TV with our pad to access resources online such as interactive activities and online learning games directly tied to our curriculum, they view engaging and explanatory science videos with the use of my classroom projector, and participate in group problem solving activities in math. My students have especially loved using the iPad and welcome the opportunity of being chosen to lead the class in solving math problems or illustrating reading comprehension. Because of your generosity, this gift has enriched the learning environment of my classroom, by giving students more access to technology. My students are more motivated to work and experiment as well as have a little fun, too.”

    Dr. Morgan

  • Attracting New Knowledge!

    Funded May 8, 2012

I had to write and update you all after we began using these items. The kids had a blast! I set up investigation rotations for them to explore 20 different items. They had to identify the item, label the items, illustrate them, make a prediction as to whether it was magnetic or not, then test it. They had so much fun! They were drawing conclusions, extending their practice by putting magnetic objects inside of non-magnetic ones to see if it would be magnetized, and more! The poster was a great help and these involved lessons couldn't have happened without your support! Thank you sincerely for bringing my students' science experience to life!”

    With gratitude,

    Dr. Morgan

I teach the most amazing children in the world! I get to be the kindergarten teacher to military servicemembers' children! This unique and diverse, yet resilient population, often have unmet needs. I strive to offer them a caring, supportive, and loving educational environment that engages their minds and gives them a passion for learning! This often requires resources to differentiate their learning opportunities or provided needed supplies that may not be possible for such a highly mobile population.
