The students in our classroom have a high level of need for sensory/ tactile input. When our sensory needs are met, then learning can take place. Often we can be creative and utilize some of our sensory items or fidgets to help us learn better. We love to find ways to sensory input into our reading and/or math lessons. This project will purchase tactile liquid letters, glitter balls, wonder wands, and viewers.
Since we are a new classroom and just coming back from a year of virtual learning, we do not have many sensory items in our classroom. The items we have are either outdated, broken, or there aren't enough items to share during our sensory or cool-down breaks.
