  • Let's Gooooo! LEGO Simple & Powered Machines!

    Funded Feb 11, 2021

Thank you so much for donating to this project! My students will absolutely love these materials. I can't wait to share the good news with them at our classroom meeting today. We are making the best of virtual learning in these tough times, but this will greatly boost their morale!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Megan

  • Global Migration Stories

    Funded Aug 12, 2020

Thank you so much for donating to this project. It is incredibly important that students have access to a wide variety of texts from many cultures and perspectives. The texts in this project were selected by teams of teachers to reach as many students as possible and, in particular, tell migration stories.

My students love read aloud times, and are activated by the content of these books. I love seeing them dive deeper into the topics, and watching them take steps outside the classroom to connect. Students have written letters, done research, and talked to family members about these stories.

    Thank you for your support!”

    Funded Dec 31, 2019

Thank you so much for donating to this project! The students will be so excited to hear the good news when we get back from break. These materials will make a huge difference and help students give those finishing touches to their already awesome work. We appreciate you so much!”

  • Art in the Montessori Way!

    Funded Oct 18, 2019

Thank you so much for donating to our project! We are SO excited for these supplies. The day the packages started arriving we began our first lessons! So far we have started a unit using wood and string. The students were able to recreate wooden African beads and create their own necklaces or bracelets. They are wearing them with pride! We also started string art, next week will begin basket weaving. The way these lessons align with our Montessori Fundamental Needs lessons make them even more meaningful, and I know we are going to have years of work from this one project. Thanks again for donating!”

  • Magnetic Interventions!

    Funded Dec 11, 2019

Thank you so much for donating to this project! Reading and writing interventions can feel like a struggle sometimes, but the materials from this project will make interventions more interesting and approachable. The more ways we are able to approach reading and writing the better we will be able to reach our students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Megan

  • We "Need" and "Want" Economics Materials!

    Funded Oct 30, 2019

Thank you so much for donating to this project. The students and I are so excited to use these materials and have already started the day the box came. The students are excited because the materials are inviting, beautiful and fun. They cover real life topics that students can't wait to learn. I am excited because this material covers many standards that we have struggled to cover. Financial literacy is key for students and will affect their lives in many ways for years to come. We have already been playing a bartering "Go Fish" style game, learning about supply and demand and reenacting product chains.

    Thanks again!”

  • Terrific Tools for Montessori

    Funded Aug 14, 2019

Thank you so much for donating to our project, "Terrific Tools for Montessori!" We are so excited to have these supplies in our classroom. In a Montessori environment, students are encouraged to be as independent as possible and set up to complete real world tasks. They need authentic materials in order for students to both have a quality learning experience and to feel respected in their work. The student sized tools have already come in handy around the classroom as students take care of their environment: fixing cubbies, tightening chairs, adjusting planners, etc... I look forward to seeing what students build in the future!”

  • Specimens for Montessori and STEM Exploration!

    Funded Aug 15, 2019

Thank you for donating to our specimen project. Already these materials have been a huge hit in our classroom. We set up a digital microscope table in our classroom and have the materials available for students to explore. Students have been using a microscope observation page to document their findings. They make both macro and micro drawings, and have been very surprised with what they have seen. Students have been inspired by these specimens to go complete further research on individual species, and have explored many different life cycles.

These materials will inspire students for years to come!

    Thank you!”

  • The Case of the Missing Book

    Funded Feb 14, 2019

Thank you so much for donating to our classroom project, "The Case of the Missing Book." The book shelf in this project has made a large difference in our classroom already. We were able to reorganize books that were spread out among ten classroom shelves all into this new shelf, allowing there to be more room for Montessori materials on the original shelves. They are now easier for students to use and more visually appealing. This makes students more excited to take out and complete these works! It has also made it easier for students to both find books and put them back where they belong. Thank you so much for your support of our classroom!”

  • Primary Documents Are a Pretty Big Deal

    Funded Dec 12, 2018

Thank you so much for donating to our project. This project was unique in that it was student led and written. I have waited to write this letter because the more we use these materials, the better they get. In this project we received Document Based Questioning materials. So far my students have gone through the process three times and it is awesome to see their writing, historical thinking, and excitement for learning grow. The students are asking for the next one, and can't wait to do more next year. So far the students have learned about why we should protect wolves, the effect of plastic bags on the environment, and Grimm's fairy tales.

Thank you again for your impact on our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Megan
