  • Enrichment Items

    Funded Aug 24, 2022

Thank you for your continues support of our classroom. These enrichment items were a huge help for our upper elementary students. It was overwhelming to see how excited the students were for the items, especially the books and countertop garden. When the students first saw the books, many were curious but a bit intimidated by the complexity of some of the puzzles. However, after working together, they were excited to solve their first few puzzles and gain confidence. It quickly turned into a favorite classroom activity!

The students were thrilled to plant the seeds and take care of their plants. It gave them a sense of responsibility, and they were excited to see their plants grow over time. Some students even started bringing in additional plants to contribute to the classroom garden.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Hubbard

  • Fun and Focused Upper Elementary Library

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

Adding new books to our upper elementary Montessori library has had a profound impact on the students. They were more excited than ever to explore topics that spark their individual interests, whether it's ancient civilizations, environmental science, or creative storytelling. I saw students who were previously reluctant readers eagerly dive into books that resonate with them, sharing their discoveries with peers and even suggesting titles for others to explore.

These books have become a catalyst for deeper learning, igniting curiosity and encouraging them to ask more thoughtful questions during our lessons.”

  • Our Budding Botanists

    Funded Aug 10, 2022

We are so honored to have received these items for our classroom. My students were eagerly awaiting this delivery, checking the shipping daily in order to see when the botany items would arrive. My students are very passionate about gardening and plant care, and they are thrilled to now be able to bring our gardening inside.

The aerogarden has been such a welcome addition to our room. We are now on our second cycle of plants, and to be able to watch them grow daily has been a treasure. We were able to incorporate our growing into many aspects of our curriculum- writing, observation, sciences, and even the history of indoor growing.

We have also been able to use the items harvested from our garden for a variety of different things in our classroom and school wide- from herbed butter to salad, and even scraps for our school chickens!”

  • Upper Elementary Basics

    Funded Aug 25, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous contributions to our classroom community. By helping to support our project, you brought some basic supplies into our classroom. It was so fun to see the student's excitement as we opened the packages.

The Kindle Fire Tablets allowed us to use technology to assist students with reading and comprehension. We were able to use these devices to help several students at once- something we could not do without the technology available. Additionally, the headphones were helpful for read aloud books, which are a unique tool for several of our readers. Finally, the hole puncher and paper cutter have maximized our time in class- we no longer need to wait to borrow from another teacher or classroom.

We appreciate the generosity and support!”

  • Help Our Historians

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

Our students are overjoyed to have the tools needed to keep track of our classroom throughout the year in film. They have used these supplies to do even more- our historians have set up calendars and charts to show who gets to use the camera each day. They have had fun setting up a place to display the photos, and to show them off to guests who come to our classroom. The film has been so helpful- it was an expense we otherwise would not have been able to afford for our classroom, and to have a year long supply of film is such a luxury! We are all excited to see the 100+ photos we will have at the end of the year, and figure out ways to compile them into a book to share with future classes.”

The water flow table will provide an engaging way for our students to learn more about the flow of water, our earth, and nature while also enjoying time in our desert environment. Allowing water play gives our children greater access to outdoor play and learning time. Since we live in a hot and dry climate, we are always looking for interesting ways to get our kids outside, and both the water flow table and fort building materials will allow us to achieve that goal. The fort building materials will allow for creative construction and engineering by our students, and as a bonus, they can be used both in the new outdoor classroom and inside on those days that are too hot to play in the sun.
