Art + Science = Awesome
Funded Apr 4, 2013Thank you so very much for your generous donation. My students LOVED using the canvases, paint, and science supplies to learn about insects. Their favorite assignment was creating their own species! They took ownership in the project and were so excited to apply their new found knowledge in a creative and artistic way! We also explored the concept of symmetry and then painted self portraits. We learned so much about science, math and art. The students truly enjoyed having access to the materials and using them to enrich their learning experience.

Say "Cheese!"
Funded Oct 10, 2012Thank you so much for your generous donation! Because of your thoughtfulness and dedication to education, our classroom has received a digital camera that we use to capture learning experiences in our classroom. Many of the pictures the student and I have captured are a part of the year-long hallway display. Copies of pictures have also been sent home with the students so they can explain what they are learning in the classroom. Parents have also expressed their gratitude! They love having the pictures for their refrigerators and scrapbooks!
We certainly appreciate your help in getting this valuable piece of technology for our classroom.”

Funded Jan 3, 2012We love our document camera! Thank you so very much for your donation {and votes} to our classroom project. The students love using the document camera to showcase their work. They are so proud when they show their work and explain their thinking. They work so very hard to produce excellent work to display. They are learning in ways that will benefit them for a lifetime. As the teacher, I love using the document camera to show students details that before were impossible for everyone to see at once. We learn games, read books, write, and learn math skills in a far more engaging way thanks to the document camera. Thank you for choosing to make a difference in the lives of my students! ”

Feed USA and Feed the Future
Funded Jan 28, 2011Thank you so very much for your donation to our classroom project. With the materials purchased, we were able to plant onions, carrots, and radishes for the classroom. EVERY student was also able to plant a seed of their choice. We planted and observed them grow in the classroom. Then they took the seedlings home and started their own vegetable garden. We finished our plant study yesterday and I had students who wrote pages of information for their final "What I've learned about plants" essay. These materials have inspired future botanists and life-long learners.
Thank you for making a difference in our classroom and in the lives of the students.”

Funded Feb 17, 2011We LOVE our new printer! I have used a package and a half of photo paper ALREADY! This printer is one the best additions to our classroom (besides our fantastic students). We have spruced up bulletin boards with pictures of our class working. We have printed and displayed the pictures of students who reach addition and subtraction fact mastery. We have added class pictures to displays and to bulletin boards. Parents and students alike have enjoyed seeing our class in action by looking at the pictures we take home and hang in the hallway.
Our printer would not have been possible without your generous donation!

Funded Jan 8, 2011Thank you so very much for the books! The students certainly are enjoying the witty characters in the stories. We marvel at the pigeon's perseverance, sympathize with poor David, laugh with Oliva, and learn about friendship with Piggie and Elephant. Our classroom would not have these engaging stories if not for your generous donation. The books you helped purchase are loved daily. Many of the stories are so popular that there is a waiting list to read them!
Thank you for giving. Your donation has certainly made a difference both for teacher and students! ”
