  • Instructing With iPods

    Funded Feb 17, 2011

Thank you for donating to my "Instructing with iPods" project. Using the iPod nanos will enable the students to share their knowledge with others. As students create podcasts, they will utilize research, writing, speaking, and technology skills. These are skills that may be applied to every academic area.

The students and I are extremely excited about using the iPods in our learning activities, and we are are grateful for your support of educational endeavors such as this one.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Eaves

  • Author! Author!

    Funded Feb 16, 2011

Thank you very much for donating to my project. Your generous gifts will allow my students to publish their creative writing and share their work with others. As students use the writing process they will develop vocabulary and language skills that can be applied to every academic subject area. Their enhanced written communication skills will benefit them for years to come.

It is a wonderful feeling to know that my students' literacy learning is supported by organizations and people in the community. Thank you again.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Eaves

My 3rd-6th grade intellectually gifted students come from a variety of ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds. They are energetic, eager to learn, and enjoy using their imaginations. My class is part of a pull-out program designed to meet the needs of high-ability learners. Students come to my class twice each week for approximately 2 1/2 hours. We are working on developing our writing skills, especially in the area of vocabulary development and using figurative language.
