Classroom Rock Stars!
Funded May 6, 2023We want to thank you for your generosity and all your help with our music making here at Dawes Elementary. We have use our tech in our music room just about every day, and this has helped make learning a much more fun and memorable learning space. The most exciting aspect for our students has been the introduction of interactive learning applications and collaborative tools. These allow for a more hands-on, dynamic approach to learning, which has sparked enthusiasm and creativity among our students. They appreciate the opportunity to explore subjects in a more immersive way.
We've noticed that certain students have particularly warmed to this new way of playing and assessing. For instance, those who may have struggled with traditional teaching methods have found their niche. Thank you for all of your help!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Reyes
This classroom project was brought to life by Tullman Community Ventures and 2 other donors.Classroom Rock Starz
Funded Nov 20, 2018Thank you for the donation and everything you did in order to help make the project Classroom Rockstarz come true. Everyone from students to administration is loving the instruments that were donated. Before we had all the instruments, the students were limited to learning basic music theory and sharing/taking turns on the few keyboards we have in the classroom, thanks to you and your generosity the students are now able to play together as a class. So far we've used the instruments to play their favorite songs, from their favorite Disney/Pixar movies, to their favorite hip hop and rock songs. When my students first saw the instruments they all freaked out in their own way.
I have had quite a few students come up to me since we received the donation asking for extra songs to play, to borrow the instrument to practice at home, and even a few who have bought their own guitar or ukulele since starting to play. Playing in class even inspired a few of my students to start a school band and so far they have played in the school talent show and even the graduation. Thank you again for everything.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Reyes
