  • Tech Tastic

    Funded May 4, 2022

The new laptop along with cords and cable ties have been extremely helpful in my classroom. We use the laptop daily for phonics, reading, writing, math, and social studies and science lessons. It has allowed me to show more visuals to my students, which they need in order to understand new concepts. I have also used it to show them videos of concepts that might be difficult to comprehend, such as habitats, to help them form mental maps and retain information with greater success. The cords allow me to effectively connect the laptop to our display panel and the cable ties have been very helpful in keeping everything organized.

Thank you again for your generous gift!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Crespo

  • Ya Gotta Read!

    Funded May 16, 2022

We have really been enjoying our new books! My students could barely let me unpack the books when they arrived! They were very excited to see the new texts and were thrilled to take them home and share them with their families. Having leveled books at their independent reading levels has allowed them to practice their reading skills. We have been focusing particularly on the skill of summarizing. The leveled text allow each student to practice this at their ability level.

On behalf of my students, thank you so much for your generosity. We love our new books!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Crespo

  • Seeing is Believing!

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

We have really been enjoying our new rolling magnetic whiteboard, chart paper, markers, and other supplies. They have been VERY useful in our daily learning. The rolling whiteboard has allowed me to move it to where it is needed in the classroom. I use it for different purposes and lessons throughout the day. My students enjoy taking turns doing our phonics drill each morning using it as well. The chart paper and markers are great for modeling vocabulary, math strategy charts, and supporting students during writing time.

Thank you again for your generous donation!”

  • Supplies and Demand!

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

First, on behalf of all of my students, I would like to say thank you for you generous donation. The resources that we received from this project have enhanced our learning experience in many ways. My students have enjoyed using these items in our classroom.

The toner for our laser printer has allowed me to create and print differentiated worksheets, graphic organizers, and visual supports for my students. I am able to customize supports that they can use in their reading, writing, and math work. The laminating pouches have also been helpful in making some of these customized supports last since we are sometimes not as gentle as we should be with our things (lol). The chart paper and markers have been very useful in making anchor charts and allowing to complete class projects such as graphing data that we have collected.

Once again, thank you for helping make a difference in my students' learning.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Crespo

  • Techie Tools for Virtual Learning!

    Funded Apr 6, 2021

I would like to apologize for the late posting of this impact letter. My students were very excited to receive the supplies funded in this project. The stylus pens increased their accuracy in using tablets to complete their online assignments. The markers and erasers have helped them during live lessons, both at home and in-person this year, to actively participate during instruction and independent practice time. Many students have benefited from the document camera which have allowed me to model correct writing and math, as well as making read aloud books more engaging.

Without your generous donations, it would not have been possible to have these great resources in my classroom. In such difficult times, I just wouldn't have been able to afford the supplies needed for the students to enjo learning with each other in a more meaningful way.

Your donation has helped encourage the love of learning in my classroom and has raised students' interest in subjects such as a phonics, reading, and writing. I can't tell you enough how grateful I am that there are people like you to help teachers provide their students with the best learning activities possible.”

  • We Need to Differentiate, Create and Illustrate!

    Funded Feb 15, 2017

The students in my class were so thrilled when we received the color printer, printer ink, paper and other writing supplies! They couldn't wait to start writing so that they could publish their work in vibrant color using the new printer. We have been using the printer to bring color and life to our writing projects. The printer has also allowed me to make custom worksheets and supports that help meet my students' needs. We also used the colored paper and supplies for our science fair project display! (We grew mold on white bread successfully on our second attempt, hahaha.)

Without your generous donations, it would not have been possible to have these great resources in our classroom. In such difficult financial times, I wouldn't have been able to afford the color printer and supplies needed to provide enrichment and motivation for students to write and complete their classwork. They really enjoy seeing their writing come to life printed in beautiful fonts with exciting color and illustrations.

Your donation has helped encourage the love of learning and writing in our classroom and has raised my students' interest in subjects such as a spelling and writing in just a few short weeks! I can't tell you enough how grateful I am that there are people like you to help schools in need.”

I am a special education teacher in a 4th grade 12:1:1 self-contained classroom setting. I work diligently to support the diverse needs of my students. My class is comprised of students with special learning needs and English Language Learners. Our school is located in a high-need area of an inner-city. I try my best each and every day to provide my students with the best possible materials and learning opportunities despite shortages and budget cuts, but there's only so much I can do alone. Any donations, whatever the amount, would be greatly and sincerely appreciated!
