New Puzzles to Solve!
Funded Jan 11, 2022We have spent many hours learning and having fun with the precious puzzles you donated to our class!
The puzzles have helped us keep our daily routine with new challenges and various tasks.
The students can choose a puzzle, finish it, and put it away where it belongs, practicing organization and perseverance daily.
We have also connected the puzzles as an additional center to different themes like animals or place and reinforce English vocabulary concepts, like big and little.
The materials you donated had a positive impact on our class!”

Yummy Snacks
Funded Dec 31, 2021We are so grateful for your donation. The class was excited to see so many yummy snacks!
The students enjoyed having the snacks when we returned from Special Olympics and were so hungry. They liked the crackers, the fruity snacks, the juices, and the water. We also used the snacks as a reward when the students had outstanding behavior or a previous incentive to do a non-preferred activity.
They loved the salty and sweet popcorn to watch movies on Fridays. We got inspired and began a new project of cooking every week. Your donation made a difference in our learning.”

Funded Aug 16, 2021Thank you so much for the outdoor seating, we used it so much and plan to keep using it to read and enjoy being outside as we learn.
The students love it and were delighted to see them and be able to read and write, play games and have classess in a different setting than the classroom.
We have also used it to eat breakfast or lunch outside.
The prizes have been very motivating for the students, they love the smencils and sensory prizes and work hard to earn them.
Wishing you many blessings in this coming new year! Your generosity will keep giving many joys for the whole school year and beyond!”

Funded Dec 9, 2020The aluminum table with the slat-back chairs has been so helpful to our daily learning. The students loved it when they first saw them. We have used them to read outside, sit down while we play, chat on a one-on-one basis when needed, and even inside the classroom for alternative seating. The chairs are so light that the students can help us carry them outside. The chairs look modern; they are relaxing, they feel fantastic and comfortable. The table is bright blue and has just the perfect size! They take turns to use them.
We did not get an umbrella or the stand because they were not available, so we got an inflatable rocker instead. The rocker has been excellent for one of my students that loves to be on the floor. He can rock on it and loves the sounds he makes as he moves it back and forth. He also likes the colorful balls it has inside. Other young students like it also and they take turns using it.
We just began using the seeds starting kit; the students are so excited waiting for them to sprout. The elevated garden bed was sent to the wrong location for a few weeks by the receiver; we finally got it, finished assembling it, and we will plant in it soon!”

Funded Feb 15, 2020My students reacted with a lot of excitement and joy when they first saw the materials, they loved the sounds, lights, music, and colors of the instruments.
We used them a lot in the centers, as incentives, to create patterns and at different times of the day. They like using different materials and explore what things they can do.
We plan to keep using these materials very frequently, since we sing a lot and they can accompany the songs with drums or different instruments.
They enjoyed playing different melodies with the musical mat.
We describe and sort them according to their size, shape, color, and even draw them.
Thank you so much for your generosity.”

Funded Sep 30, 2018My students have been having a blast with the fraction fruits, pasting them over and over with the Velcro. They have read different books related to vegetables, fruits, fractions and used them to make the learning connection.
The sorting boxes are so colorful and easy to manipulate for them that it is a real pleasure to watch them learn. They can also take them to different areas of the classroom and change where they can learn.
The big bugs with bright colors and different textures make learning about insects very interesting for my students.
We have been blessed with your generosity with these fun materials. I am positive the students will continue to enjoy learning in these fun ways thanks to you.”
