Leveled Reading for 6th Grade Struggling Students

Thank you so much for your donations to our project! I can’t wait to get these books in the hands of our students! Reading is a struggle for many of the students I support and these books will help me to engage them in content at their level while still supporting their reading growth. I hope with these books we can make a lasting impact on my students and help students to become fluent readers and maybe even enjoy reading too!”

This will provide resources for our 6th grade students who are reading two or more grade levels below their target grade level. These students receive targeted instruction from a reading teacher and complete guided reading and reading comprehension strategies to help them improve in their reading skills. We assess students progress every other week to monitor their growth. Our goal is by the end of 8th grade we have as many students as possible reading at or close to grade level. Having good readings and resources are essential to our program's success.
