As a K-5 reading specialist, it is my goal to help encourage students on their reading journey and teach them valuable skills and strategies they can utilize to strengthen their reading ability. At our school, we take pride in having high expectations for our students and we want them to have the confidence and assurance that they need, to believe they can achieve goals. However, some of these students come from homes that have limited resources to reinforce skills taught in class, therefore they fall behind academically, and their level of confidence declines. To support my students in their learning, having additional resources would be a great asset to our classroom because children learn best when they are engaged with meaningful and purposeful supplies. Thanks in advance!
