  • Time for New Tables!

    Funded Sep 20, 2023

I can not thank you enough!

I have been a kindergarten teacher here in Lowell for 13 years.

These tables were here long before I was!

Now my classroom is inviting, clean, and every student has enough space to learn and play.

This would have never been possible if it wasn't for your generosity and kindness.

I know it's hard to choose which school to give to, but I am so appreciative you chose ours!

I always try to keep my love of teaching alive, and keep moving forward with the students in my room. The projects on Donors choose have help me do that!

    Thanks again and Happy Holidays!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Martineau

  • Reading Center Fun!

    Funded Apr 1, 2022

Thank you to everyone that donated to this project. Reading is essential in kindergarten and having fun play based centers always makes learning more effective and engaging!

The letter buckets are amazing! They have so many objects for initial sounds, we use them every day!

My reading centers are up and running and running with success! The students are able to "play" by themselves and that allows me to work with my small groups!

It really has been a blessing, and a funone at that!

    We appreciate you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Martineau

  • I Can't Reach It!

    Funded Mar 2, 2022

You would be amazed at what these shelves did for my classroom! My principal had observations based on classroom environment and he loved how everything was easily accessible for the children. He loved how the room felt open and there was more space to play and learn! The children can reach the paint, coloring materials, games, art supplies, and more!

Thank you to everyone that helped get my room ready for this kindergarten school year! The space is perfect! This classroom is my home away from home, and it's wonderful to have it organized and accessible!

    Thank you!”

  • Save the Drama for Kindergarten!

    Funded Jan 1, 2022

Thank you for your generous donations! The students are having a blast in the dramatic play center! It is THE most popular center. As you can see in the photos, we have transformed the area into a construction zone, a play for the Three Little Pigs, a kitchen, a restaurant, and even a vet center! It has really made learning fun in the classroom. They get to design and create their own backdrops, menus, costumes, etc. They get to have jobs, collaborate, and work together. The drama in K is the best!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Martineau

Hello! My name is Ms. Martineau! This is my 7th year teaching kindergarten! I absolutely love my career! I teach in an inner city school that consists mainly of English Language Learners. All of the children receive free lunch and breakfast. The children are fun and energetic. The teachers are some of the hardest workers I know. The children in our school unfortunately come from homes that are unstable. I feel it is my job to keep them excited about school and provide a fun, safe, loving, respectful learning environment.
