School Supplies for Success!
Funded Oct 24, 2019It is with much gratitude that we thank you for your donations and for funding our project. The students and I were so ecstatic when we heard our project got funded. Then when we received the packages they were even happier.
The students are using the loose-leaf paper and pencils to write letters, essays and facts about various topics they learned in class. They are using the construction paper, colored pencils and markers to design scenes from stories they have read. We are also using the markers to create fabulous charts on the beautiful chart paper that you sent us. Students are using the graph paper in math to make area models.
The greatest feeling in the world is knowing that there are people out there that care about the future of our children. Thank you so much for the supplies you sent to our classroom. You have made this teacher and all her students so happy.”

Funded Apr 17, 2019Thank you so much for the fraction stax. When we first opened the package I saw the excitement on my students face because they have been struggling with fractions. This manipulative is a great way to help my students who have difficulty understanding problems that involve fractions.
The first time we used these fractions stax in small group I saw an immediate difference. The students were able to gain confidence when using them. I actually heard a few of my students, who usually do not like math time say, "Can we do more problems with fractions?" As a teacher this was music to my ears.
I will continue to use these fraction stax for future lessons and to help with reteach for students who struggle in this area.
I also want to thank you for the headphones and wobble chair even though we were unable to get them. They sent a note that the money was refunded to you. There must have been a problem with shipping, but we are still grateful that you thought of our class and funded our project.”

Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you so much for the bean bags and and new ocean themed rug for my students. When they opened the boxes their faces where filled with joy and excitement. They couldn't believe their eyes.
With the bean bags they can now have a comfortable place to sit while relaxing with their books, in our new "Ocean Book Nook." Not only do they have these comfortable bean bags, they also have a new ocean themed rug to relax at. My students already told me they feel like they are part of the ocean.
My students will continue to research ocean and marine life throughout this year. With encouragement they will want to continue learning about the ocean for years to come. Maybe one day you will see my students as future marine biologist.
Thank you again for your generosity!”

Funded Mar 27, 2018It is with such gratitude that I say thank you for caring about our students. I couldn't be happier than when I saw my students opening the packages they received from you.
My students were so excited when they opened the box and saw the i Pad. Now they can use technology for our research projects. The i Pad will act as an outlet for the students to gain knowledge. They can research the ocean and marine life.
The ocean books and decorations will serve such a great purpose in our new reading "Ocean Nook." Now the students can enjoy reading while feeling like they are a part of the ocean world.
Thank you again for your generosity. My students and I are beyond grateful.”

Funded May 25, 2017I would truly like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity. My students and I are so grateful that you cared so much to help donate markers, dry erase markers, post-its, headphones and erasers.
We will be able to use the headphones during our listening center. Now that we have headphones the other students won't get disturbed by the noise. We will use the post-its and dry erase markers throughout the day in reading and math. Students can jot down their thoughts on the post-its so they don't forget their ideas. Students can use the dry erase markers for their slate boards. With the sharpies, can create the visuals the students need to help them learn.
When my students and I first opened the box to the materials we were equally excited. To know that we have the supplies we need for the school day is such a great feeling. Many of my students have little to no means to get the supplies they need for school. With your donation you have made it possible for them to get the equal education they deserve.
Again, thank you for your tremendous support!”

Funded May 12, 2017All I can say is Wow! My students and are so elated to have these materials. We already used the sewing machine to mend our costumes for our production of "Wonka World." We are using the paper and pencils to help make last minute changes to our script. We are using the top hats as part of our costuming for our play. What a wonderful addition to our costumes they are.
When my students and I first learned our project was fully funded we couldn't believe it. Reality set in when the packages came in. Then I got the pleasure of seeing their faces opening up the packages. It is a memory that will always be instilled in my mind. Their faces showed it all, excitement and gratitude.
My students and I will continue to use these materials for our future productions. The singer sewing machine is just perfect for our current and future costuming.
It is with such gratitude I say thank you for caring so much and putting smiles on all our faces.”

Funded Jan 24, 2017Thank you so much for the much needed Wonka World supplies. Now my students and I will be able to use these resources for our upcoming production in the Spring.
When my students first heard that our project was funded they were so excited. The fact that they were going to be able to make backgrounds and scenery for their upcoming production made it more of a reality. They couldn't wait to open the supplies and start on the backgrounds with the canvas and paint given to them. They are soon going to be using the sewing supplies to help make costumes and mend clothing for the show. Now the students can not only "act" in the show, but also be a part of it in many different ways. I only wish you were there to see the excitement on their faces.
Thank you so much for your generous donations. You have made our theater family very happy.”

Ecosystem Theatre!
Funded Dec 30, 2016You have provided a wonderful opportunity for my theater students with your very generous donations. Technology and the Arts is a way for our students to express themselves in areas other than the basic areas of learning. With your donations you have provided a wonderful learning opportunity for so many students in an area of need.
My students will be able to use these supplies to create their own scenery and backgrounds for various projects in theater. Th younger students will be able to role play with the puppet theater and hand puppets. They can create their own monologues and mini plays with a partner. They will be able to use the puppet theater to put on their performances. The iPad will help the students create backgrounds and give ideas to how to write their own plays.
This project is special to all the students. However, it is especially important to my ENL and ELL students who have not grasped the English language in full.
Thank you again fro your generous donations!”

Funded Sep 29, 2016Dear Donors,
Thank you so much for your donations to our theater class. My students are able to use the construction paper, markers and tape to create new scenes for our productions. They will use the loose leaf paper to write scripts and new endings.
When my students first opened the supplies they were ecstatic. They were so appreciative that they could now have real supplies to work with. They no longer had to rely on reused, ripped construction paper and stained loose leaf. Now they had fresh materials for their fresh ideas.
My class and I have begun using our supplies already for our upcoming productions in December. We have created scenery for our plays, John Henry; The Three Little Pigs and Pete the Cat. They have used the materials to create new and interesting endings to their production as well.
Again thank you for your thoughtfulness and kindness.”

Funded Mar 12, 2016It was so exciting receiving the classroom materials that we requested in our project. Opening the boxes in front of my students was like Christmas in March. Their faces lit up and they were so happy that now they can do more creative projects, since we now have the materials. I will use the sentence strips in my lessons to reinforce classroom goals. The students will use the markers to create new and exciting projects. More importantly, my students have learned an important lesson - people who they don't know can care about them and give them what they need to succeed.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much!”
