    Thank you for continuing to support Room 2, and my development as a teacher. These materials will act as a perfect counter balance to the highly structured learning activities that I design. I am expanding my style of teaching to include and develop more play based, and self guided, learning activities.

    I know my kids will appreciate the materials/change of instructional pace as much as I do. Highly structured learning activities have proven to be successful, but they can be monotonous. The kids are going to love having the opportunity to learn in a much more free form, exploratory format. My hope is that the content learned using these materials is enhanced and enhances the more structured activities. Thank you for you support, it is not expected but very much appreciated!”

  • Touch Screen Monitors

    Of course, first and foremost, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Teaching is so much easier when you have the kind of support you all provide. It really does mean the world when the people surrounding you share, and encourage your passion. My passion is teaching.

    These touchscreens serve so many functions in the classroom I wish every teacher was able to have them. The access the screens provide is so much more fluid than a mouse and keyboard. I am already witnessing the amazing things my kids can do. From exploratory learning to guided instruction the monitors allow me to challenge and engage my students in a variety of ways. As I continue to develop my software knowledge base I am sure we can provide many more instructional opportunities for the students.

    More than just the academic progress I expect to see, the independent work opportunities that the touch screens provide allow the teachers in room 2 to instruct in a small group setting. Small group settings ensure that each students needs are met and curriculum is designed/accommodated/modified for each student. Thank you for everything!”

    Thank you so much for your support. Ipads and Ipad applications allow an ease of access to the content taught in room 2 that is, so far, unmatched. I have already started using one ipad in the classroom, and the ipad transforms the most rigorous academic activities into exciting opportunities to use captivating technology. Having three will allow a more differentiated approach to my lessons and give each student more time to access academic content. I cannot tell you how much my students, my assistants and I thank you for you dedication to improving the scholastic experience of all students.”

  • A New Rug!!!

    Thank you so much for all of your support! Learning is a team effort and no one person can do it alone. Teachers, students, and communities all must play a role in making a classroom successful. I am so grateful to have a great community that supports and acknowledges the hard work my students, my assistants, and I put in on a day to day basis.

    As I stated before the rug is much more than just a piece of fabric, it is the start of so many things. The rug is where the classroom becomes a family. We use it to read, relax, and socialize before we begin our routines. It is where teachers build relationships with students, and students develop relationships with each other. From the bottom of my heart thank you for our NEW RUG!”
