  • Classroom Library in Need of an Upgrade

    These materials have helped greatly in our class. We are able to develop a reading program that enhances the reading levels of our children. We are able to develop a day to day structure of reading to self, to each other, and with me.

    Part of children becoming lifelong learners is to connect to books. Books need to be held, pages turned, plots discussed. Students whom read together will discuss, sharing ideas, the story. This ties them to the book by sharing thoughts and feelings about the text.

  • A First Year Teacher Needs Essential Classroom Materials!

    It is amazing how four blank walls can be transformed into a wonderful learning experience for my kiddos. The use of donated materials have turned a drab classroom into a wonderful sensory experience conducive to learning. We now have wonderful bulletin boards and manipulative. I have already implemented the fidget bands and rocking chairs to my students whom have different levels of distraction. They work brilliantly without interrupting.

    Everything from the pencil sharpener to the books donated makes a home out of room. Each and every student has benefited from your generosity. Kindness is a virtue and you have made this all happen with your giving and altruism. Thank you so much for making me and the students live in an environment of educational success.”

  • First Year Teacher Needs Books

    Your wonderful giving has created a positive environment within our classroom. We were able to increase our library size and found "just right" books for all our learners. In addition, we are currently displaying our new books throughout the room. I literally have to stop wonderful arguments on whose turn it is to read one your titles. Our readers use the books to practice stamina and hone creativity. We choose read alouds and silent reading time using your donations. Each and every one in room 105 cannot thank you enough.

There are serious gaps in certain genres and subjects crucial to students finding a “just right” book. With this library, students will become engaged in meaningful reading and writing opportunities. These books will introduce them to a wide variety of genres and subjects within the second grade reading range. In addition several selections are devoted to our English Language Learners. So please help a new teacher provide an educational experience to children in need of good books. Thank you for your time and contributions.
