Empower Our Students Through Esports
Funded Apr 18, 2024Thank you so much for funding our project! The students are already so excited about our growing gaming program and I cannot wait to see there excited faces when the new equipment arrives :)
Thanks to you we will be able to provide an experience to students that will give them the unique opportunity to incorporate their love of gaming in a team environment. I can't wait to share our photos with you!”

Funded Jun 10, 2019Thank you so much for your generous contribution to this project! Graphing calculators benefit math students with a wide variety of learning needs and across multiple classes. They extend a student's reach into the world of numbers by providing a range of tools they can use to analyze, predict, and calculate numbers with the accuracy, precision, and pace required of real-world problem solving. They also provide a variety of ways to present numerical information, and empower them to pursue the option that best suits the way they learn.
Simply put, the addition of 10 graphing calculators has had a tremendous impact across all of my math classes. In my AP Calculus Class, 10 more calculators has provided me with enough calculators so that my students may borrow a calculator from me, for the year, that they can keep to use while at home. As a result, students are now able to begin learning and mastering crucial calculator skills they will need for the calculator active portion of the AP Exam earlier in the year. Additionally, we now also have enough calculators for every students in even my largest class to have access to a graphing calculator. In my advanced quantitative reasoning class, students are tasked with solving real world problems by applying all of the math topics that they have spent years learning and mastering. With the addition of these calculators, they all are now able to create more sophisticated and detailed models to represent the solutions or designs that they create as part of their projects. While these are only some of the ways we have incorporated these calculators, students are excited for how we will incorporate them even more when we begin our in-depth study of data analysis and 3D modeling.
Thank you again for your generous donation! I am beyond excited for how we will continue to incorporate these in our classes and the growing impact they continue to have on students learning outcomes.”
