It is true that going paperless is the trend in schools and businesses today. But there will always be displays of student work in the classroom, hallways, and the creation of individual writing portfolios, and those items still require a printed copy. These displays enhance the self-esteem of those who might never be recognized academically and creatively. I have chosen a wireless HP All in One printer so my students will have the ability to print when needed.
Having the means to print out student work within the walls of my classroom would be the answer! Currently, my classroom does not have a printer. If I require an assignment to be printed, and due to my students' families' financial situations, my students do not have the means to print from home. As it stands, they would not be able to print at school either--our classroom does not have a printer. I would like to bridge the gap between school and home, so my students will be able to relax and focus on their assignments/projects rather than worrying about how they will print or how they will come up with the money to print.
I am excited to see the looks on their faces when the printing is no longer an issue! Thank you in advance for considering to fund my project.
