  • Art and Transportation

    Funded Feb 17, 2022

Thank you for your generosity! As you can see in the pictures, my students just finished their Black History Art project based on Sam Gilliam's amazing art. They enjoyed every bit of the project and especially loved the painting and installation part. As they showed their work to their families, they used their newly learned art vocabulary and described various paintings of Sam Gilliam.

On another note, they have had so much fun solving transportation puzzles. The jumbo puzzles are allowing them to work together to solve puzzles and the mini puzzles are allowing them to problem solve on their own. All in all, my students and I are grateful and very happy to have these experiences because of amazing and generous people like yourselves.”

  • Holiday Arts and Crafts Time

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

Thank you for donating to this project! My students and I had the best time creating holiday arts and crafts. Every time I announced the art activity for the week, my students' faces would light up with joy and happiness. We created candy canes and wreaths with the bead activity. We also traced our names with glitter on our holiday stockings and had so much fun creating our gingerbread sticker houses. My students were very creative as they explained their gingerbread house scenes and even made up funny stories up as they created their sticker art. We had a great time learning and hope to continue learning with art activities like these throughout the year. Thank you again for being so kind and generous!”

  • Lego Time

    Funded Nov 12, 2021

Thank you for being so awesome and giving. My students were very excited to see the new legos and base plates. They love "Lego Time" and look forward to it each day! They have built houses, fire stations, hospitals, parks, post offices, schools, etc. to go along with their unit of study "Communities and Helpers". They get a chance to talk about and share what they have built after our timer goes off. By doing this, they are not only building but practicing their speaking, listening and presenting skills as well. Thank you for giving them this experience.”

  • We Need Tents to Survive the Rain

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

Thank you so much for donating to this project. The tents are a dream come true! My students were so happy when they saw the tents up. One of them even said "Yes! We don't have to get sunburned anymore and when it rains, we will have a big umbrellas!" Their smiles and expressions of gratitude were priceless! I thank you from the bottom of my heart. They now know there is a plan in place if and when it rains and that social distancing during this pandemic is possible during sunny and rainy weather. My students and I appreciate your generosity and kindness.”

  • TK Needs Individual Center Time Kits

    Funded Nov 9, 2021

Thank you for donating to this project. My students were so excited and happy to see the new puzzles and kept asking to use them all day. Once I unpacked the puzzles and let them start, they got right on task and built the puzzles with so much joy! Puzzle Center Time is so much fun for them. As I work work with a small group of students, the rest pf the class has puzzle center time and then rotate to see me in their small group time. They have enjoyed the structure and have gained so much endurance in problem solving as they exercise their brains. Thanks again for being so generous!”

  • Our Stallions Want Writer's Workshop

    Funded Sep 7, 2021

Thank you for giving our second graders the chance to work through the writing process with the necessary materials. Our second graders are thriving through their writer's workshop experiences. Some of them have loved the process as they read the book "The One and Only Ivan" by Katherine Applegate and then wrote about the book. They paid attention to main characters and their specific character traits . Other second graders have started the process by focusing on sentence structure and correcting their work accordingly. All of their experiences have been such a great part of their growth in writing so far. Thank you for allowing them to have the journals they need in order to keep all of their writing in one place. Thank you!”

  • TK and Kindergarten Want to Write Too!

    Funded Nov 10, 2021

Thank you for giving my students the chance to develop their writing skills by providing the materials they need to do so. They were so happy to see the brand new materials and were eager to start writer's workshop. They have all developed in their own individual ways. Some of the students have really taken off and written their stories in a way that their talents and skills are shining through their writing! On the other hand, some of the students are slowly but surely starting to write and understand that whatever they write is valid and awesome as well! The next steps will be to continue encouraging my students to create and write as much as they can without fear and limits. Thank you again for being so generous.”

  • TK Needs Classroom Basics

    Funded Sep 16, 2021

I would like to thank you for allowing my students to create the art for our Latinx Art Walk this past October. As you can see in the pictures, my students used the colored pencils and multicultural crayons to create a few collaborative art posters of some art pieces by Fernando Llort. They were so excited to see the colored pencils, drawing paper and multicultural crayons. They used the materials to create these art pieces and couldn't believe the finished product. They were blown away and so were their parents when they saw what their children created. My students have since continued to use all of the materials in their daily work. Thank you for making this happen for them. I appreciate you more than you know!”

  • 1st Grade Stallions Love to Write!

    Funded Jul 12, 2021

Thank you so much for all of your generosity. Our first grade students are enjoying their Writer's Workshop experience everyday! They love that they get to write, draw, and color in their journal and express their experiences onto paper. They are slowly but surely adding to their work and their sentence structures. Soon, they will be writing stories about what they can teach. They are excited to be able to teach someone something they are good at doing in their own personal lives. So far they have discussed teaching others about skateboarding, bike riding, and roller skating. They have been thinking about what to draw which is their next step. Writing about what they will teach and how they will teach it, will be their next steps as well. Thank you for your generosity and for caring about our students.”

  • Springtime in TK

    Funded Mar 24, 2021

My TK students loved their Spring Time Activities. We made bunny headbands, played with bubbles through Zoom Class and had a blast! We talked about what happens in the season of Spring and how bunny rabbits represent new life, etc.

My students reaction was priceless! They were over the moon, happy and many parents were excited with them as well. They built their names with stickers and put stickers all over their buckets. The students cheered, giggled, smiled and showed so much joy as they decorated their pink and blue bucket of supplies. Thank you so much for your generosity and help.”

My students are just starting their educational journeys. As a lot of people might know, kindergarteners are at an age where routine and organization are very important. Therefore, having a place to store their belongings is of utmost importance. This cubbie idea is very much needed because it allows for consistent organization and also calls for responsibility in my students. They will need to learn where to put their belongings and to know what and when to get their materials. Furthermore, having a designated time and place to organize themselves is very beneficial in life. This way everything is organized and ready to do its purpose.
