Tk Memory Books
Funded Apr 15, 2023My students and I worked very hard in creating our very own TK Memory Books. We decided on what we wanted to cherish and the work we wanted to scan and place in our books. We also measured ourselves to see how tall we were at the beginning of TK and also at the end of TK. We gathered so much to fill our books throughout the year!
When my students saw the materials to put their books together, they were floored and couldn't believe they were actually making a book! We had been working on "book making" all year but it was mostly on stapled writing paper. So when they saw the papers were bound, they were impressed! Thank you for making this possible as I know they learned a lot from this process and will forever cherish their memory books. Thank you for all of your help.”

Meditation and Inner Balance
Funded Feb 6, 2023This inner balance sensor has dramatically helped my students. They have learned not only how to regulate themselves but also how to explain the relationship between their brain and heart coherence. Yes they are first graders! and have gotten so good at reading their breathing and putting on the sensor and getting right at it when it comes to their turn.
The most exciting thing for the students is getting their turn! They have to share the sensor and so when they get their turn they are so excited and happy! Everyone in the class has warmed to the sensor and its amazing technology. Thank you again for your awesomeness and generous heart!”

Incentives for Tk
Funded Sep 1, 2022My student were so excited to see the incentives/prizes. They have been learning responsibility and accountability throughout the year and have slowly but surely begun to understand the art of determination and meeting their behavior goals. They are very incentive driven as they are four and five years old and so therefore this project has helped them a lot. They have begun to cooperate and learn that following the rules and being kind and compassionate citizens gets them rewards and helps them feel good as well. Thank you for your support as I will continue my mission to help my students focus on learning and developing good character skills.”

Funded Oct 26, 2022Thank you for your donations to my "Incentives Project". My students are very incentive driven as they are four and five years old. These incentives have allowed for them to not only learn responsibility and accountability for their actions but also the need to work toward and meet their goals. While learning all of these character skills they have also learned a lot of academic material. My next steps are to continue to express, teach and award the importance of responsibility and accountability every day. Thank you again for your support!”

Funded Aug 12, 2022Thank you for donating to this very important project! I am sincerely grateful because my students have come in this year really needing the opportunity to squish, pinch, roll, pass, and splat play dough. It is serving not only as a learning tool but also as a calming tool.
My students were super excited to know that the first center they would work with was play dough. They loved the big ziplock bag that eventually went into the containers because they were easy to open. They loved the idea of sharing with a friend and knowing that they would be able to choose more that one color of play dough.
As the year progresses, I plan on using these kits for science, math, and even social studies. Thank you again for allowing this project to get funded!”

Fun Centers
Funded Jun 17, 2022Thank you for your donations to this project. My students are slowly but surely learning the routines in our class and using these centers every day. Our day is being filled with a lot of learning through these fun centers. My students ask me if we are going to play the games we play once they enter my class. The games they are referring to are these fun centers. They are also learning how to share with these centers and so they are serving a double purpose. As the year progresses, I will add more fun centers as well as add more students to each group. As for now, they all have partners and the centers rotate. My goal is to have my students rotate and the centers be in place. Thank you again for all of your support and kindness!”

Funded Apr 21, 2022As you can see from the photos, the mother's day art and craft surprise was a hit! My students enjoyed and loved every step of the project and were so excited to give their wrapped canvases to their moms on Mother's Day! They love to paint and when they saw the bottles of acrylic paint and canvases they immediately smiled with excitement and couldn't wait for their turn at the art table. They mixed many of the blue paints to make the sky they desired for their background and then they chose as many heart stickers for their painting as well. My TK students are now use to painting with different art media because they have had the opportunity to try so many of them! This would not be possible if it wasn't for generous and kind people like you! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

Funded Apr 21, 2022Thank you so much for giving my students the opportunity to expand their learning about the farm and food sources. They are having the best time creating farm scenes and exploring the dry erase and chalk board experience. They look forward to playing with their farm magnets everyday! They couldn't stop thanking you the day we received the materials. They smiled so much and cheered very loudly when they heard the project got funded! It was a heart melting experience for me as their teacher as I know they want to learn and making it fun for them is always my goal. Thank you again for being so kind and generous! Thank you!”

Funded Mar 25, 2022As you can see, my students have really enjoyed the rainbow click pens and have really applied them to their writing. Our writer's workshop has definitely been spiced up by the rainbow pens. The color pencils have also been very fun to use as some of my students use them to fill in the pen drawings. Having a choice and more options to create with, gets my students excited and happy to learn and write. As we continue our writing to the end of the year I anticipate many of them will start or continue to find new ways to use the pens and colored pencils along with markers and regular crayons. Thank you for making this possible for my students!”

Learning With Play Dough!
Funded Dec 11, 2021Thank you for your donations to this project. My students are creating stories based on their play dough cut outs. They are also making letters and sight words! Some of my students have started to even form sentences with the words they have created. The ability for them to create different things like stories, sight words, and sentences is absolutely amazing! They know that when its play dough time, they have a variety of things to work on and to create. They switch cutouts every week so they also get ideas from their classmates. The glitter on the play dough is one of their favorite things because it makes them happy as they learn. Thank you for allowing this project to take place. We will continue to use play dough everyday.”
