My scholars are some of the best, and although I may be bias that is how they deserve to be treated! Growing up in a high poverty area my students face trauma daily. When they step into our classroom it really is like a second home. To some it may feel like the only "constant" in their life. Despite all the challenges they face on the surface, underneath it all they are just as thrilled about their learning as any other child their age! Blended learning (online programs) is one way we challenge our students to think organically, but also independently. Technology, flexible seating, and classroom supplies are just a few ways that you can give back to our community. A lot of these items are essential to their success, yet they are hard commodities to come by. These projects you are funding would ensure that each child has access to that wonderful world not only now but for the following groups who walk through my door.
