The majority of my students are Spanish Speakers and English Learners, Few of them are English Speakers who want to learn how to read and write in Spanish. They are six and seven years old, and many of them have siblings attending the same school Many of them were able to write one or two sentences telling what they did in the summer, where they were and with whom. They are very enthusiastic during shared reading and they love to read their books. All the students qualify for free lunch. Our school is located in a city with great cultural and language diversity.
