Building Words to Build Our Minds!
Funded Sep 12, 2022Thank you so much for supporting our classroom! My students will be so excited about their new manipulatives! These resources will bring joy to students who often experience frustration with fine motor skills such as using scissors and writing tasks.
I am also SO excited to replace my class dry erase lap boards with a high quality, fresh set!”

Work Hard and Play Harder
Funded Mar 13, 2022Thank you ADE for the amazing ability to supplement my classroom resources! In giving teachers choice in where to put this money, you have given us acknowledgement of the professionals we are. That means the world in a state and time and place where our judgement is so often questioned.”

Help Us Unlock the Secrets to Reading!
Funded Sep 27, 2021My students have made INCREDIBLE progress with the Secret Stories Phonics system. What is even better, they LOVE it! They LOVE to find secret stories in their names, books, math word problems, and even on signs around school!
Many of my classroom parents have told me their children come home and tell them all the secret phonics stories they have learned.
The culmination of this project for me was when I was teaching opinion writing last week. My students and I were discussing the word "because." Because is a notoriously difficult word to read and spell at the K-1 level. My students decoded it and could spell it within 15 minutes! They knew that the first syllable /be/ had an open vowel (not closed with a consonant) so 'e' was a superhero who said his name. They then knew that the letters 'e' and 'u' have crushes on each other so when they are together they always blush and say "aww." And they figured out the e on the end is a babysitter e who doesn't do anything to the vowels (she just plays on her phone, my students tell me!) These kids amaze me with this program!
Thank you for making it possible for me to bring it to my students!”

Tools to Build Tiny Muscles!
Funded Aug 13, 2019These little bins of toys are many of my students' favorite things about kindergarten! Little do my kindergarteners know that when I pull out these bins they are building fine motor skills to allow them to write more easily and neatly, they are building social skills through sharing and negotiating with others and self-regulation in keeping their voice and body within classroom expectations. The best part about it all is that they get all these amazing skills while thinking that I am allowing them to just play!
My students especially ADORE the alphabet robots! Those guys see a LOT of action!”

Funded May 14, 2019These bookshelves have been an incredible blessing in organizing my classroom. I am also anticipating a classroom move next year and know when it comes time for that, I will not need to box and unbox all my books for the 4th year in a row! My students have access to books for them to chose on the bottom shelves and the upper shelves hold my read-aloud books! Thank you for blessing me and my students. The books my Mom gifted me from her classroom are a huge educational resource and I am delighted to have a beautifully organized place for her collection.”

Funded Nov 13, 2018Thank you so much for the amazing additions to our kindergarten classroom. Our writing journals have given us such pride in our writing process each day. We love looking back at our journal to see the growth we are making in our writing skills. And at the end of the year we will be able to go back and look at our growth and treasure our writing forever! In the photos you can see that we bring our journals to our classroom carpet to share after our writing time each day. This makes our kindergarten hearts very proud of our important work!
We are also so thankful for our sight word fishing games. We absolutely love practicing our sight words with these games and it makes what can be a boring skill to practice, SO fun! Thank you so so much for your generosity!”

A Magic Wand to Wave for Effective Learning!
Funded Jul 29, 2017Our Ipevo classroom pointer impacts our kindergarten classroom daily. It allows me to use power point lessons to teach visually appealing math lessons each day while remaining in the front of the classroom, in front of my students without having to move to my computer in the back of the classroom to switch each slide.
Our Ipevo also allows us to manipulate images on the dry erase board with the "pen" so students can practice math and reading activities right on the dry erase board, allowing the entire class to engage in the activity. Students LOVE using the pen to teach the class and show what they know!
My kindergarten class this year began with 7 out of 24 students who were only 4 years old. Engaging their attention long enough to teach our content was a huge challenge.. The Ipevo pen has been a wonderful asset in maintaining continuity of instruction and facilitating engaging lessons to keep even my youngest learners engaged. Thank you!!!”
