  • Solve For Tomorrow 2025

    Funded Jul 7, 2025

From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for fully funding our classroom project. Your support means the world to us.

Last year, we learned exactly what it takes to compete at the national level through the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow experience. This year, we’re coming back stronger — with big goals, full-scale marketing, bold interviews, and a plan to become one of the top 3 national champions and the first from our state.

We’re proud to represent Louisiana, and now, with your backing, we have everything we need to make our classroom the hub for innovation, creativity, and true problem-solving.

We love you, Samsung! Thank you for believing in us — and helping us Solve for Tomorrow. Next year we will come ready to win it, including stellar interviews at the end!

    Sincerely,”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Zweig

  • Printing Our Way to Success

    Funded Feb 12, 2025

Your timely support has already made a powerful impact on my students.

In the midst of a national STEM competition, the printer you provided enabled my students to professionally communicate with our Parish President—an opportunity they may not have had otherwise. As the year continued, this resource became even more critical. Many students faced challenges completing their projects, and the printer was there to support them—especially for those who couldn't afford to print in color or lacked time to make the long trip across campus.

Thanks to your generosity, they were able to produce polished, high-quality artifacts at the last minute, helping them meet deadlines and expectations. With the school year winding down, the impact of your gift is already clear—and it will continue to support future classes, projects, and lessons for years to come.

Thank you again for your incredible support.

    Sincerely,

    Mr. Z”

  • Viewing the World

    Funded Sep 11, 2023

Your donation has already tremendously impacted my students. They now can privately come and allow me to show them on a larger than Chromebook screen their grades, personal learning targets, progress, and support in their work in ways not able to do before!

My students are currently involved in a huge community service project trying to solve local problems using STEM and have been "zooming" in experts from IBM and Microsoft corporations to show them how it's done in the REAL WORLD!

You have truly made a difference in our classroom. The unexpected fading LED strips facing the students gets attention even from the gamers to feel more comfortable in a classroom environment. Again thanks so much.”

    Mr. Zweig

  • LHS Solves For Tomorrow

    Funded Apr 24, 2021

Thanks so much for the wonderful opportunity to advance in the solve for tomorrow contest! My students love the use of the materials.

Special thanks to Samsung for their generosity and promotion of Project/Problem Based Learning in our schools. There is not enough of this available.

This type of learning is not only rewarding to the students, but it also brings into the experience of learning their families, communities, experts, and even government.

This opportunity needs to be promoted and advanced so more students are involved as well as teachers.”

  • Pregnant Cats for Dissection

    Funded Sep 18, 2019

Thanks so very much again! Your donation will make an impact into the young minds of our future generation! I will submit pictures as soon as we get the cats and share the excitement! We are all looking forward to using them as we explore the body systems and the living world around us in Biology.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Zweig

  • Organic Hydroponic Gardening vs. Hot Fries

    Funded Dec 25, 2016

Our students jumped on the project and did an aquaponics experiment for their science fair project! The seeds germinated fast and they were on their way to a successful and interesting learning experience. Your generosity made all of this possible and thanks so very much from all of us!

This technique makes growing food possible virtually everywhere and as population increases and government debt increases, people will need to find sustainable ways of growing and obtaining food in the future, especially in urban and struggling areas of the world.

    Thanks again for your generosity.”

  • Gardening Our Way to Food for the Hungry

    Funded Sep 21, 2016

The project arrived and it was much more difficult assembling than we realized. The crazy Louisiana weather also as well as the devastating flooding and the need for tilling the land underneath slowed down our project and then we ran into Christmas. After break, we plan to come out running and the kids are so excited to put the garden in the ground instead of watching it in the classroom finally assembled!

We were also able to get donated "heirloom" seeds from a patriotic seed supply and that will enhance the learning experience of the garden! The students actually were able to put the garden together and were excited tot do so.

Finally, we should be able to grow some awesome spring vegetables as we start school back in a week! thanks so very much for being a part of all this and it will surely enhance learning in the ears to come, as it is sustainable!”

  • ERASING THE PAST AND BACK TO THE FUTURE

    Funded Dec 20, 2014

Thank you all for your generosity enabling my struggling algebra students the opportunity to get instant feedback for their work. As you know, students rarely get called on when they have something to say because there are so many more of them! But with these tools, the worksheets are able to be placed within and they can write all over them allowing instant feedback, erasure, and the ability to reuse worksheets over and over saving "trees!"

The kids truly loved this opportunity and we can use them over and over again. The dry erase markers with it are a never ending battle. These can dry out in a day to a week with continual use making them an endlessly needed resource in our classroom.

You guys have made a huge difference already in the lives of our future generation.

    Thanks.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Zweig

  • Would You Hydroponic A Garden With Us?

    Funded Apr 17, 2013

This project has had an amazing start! The first plant begun has been bush beans (snap beans) and they are growing like crazy in our classroom! The kids are learning that food can be grown in a window INDOORS and in water! This has been a first for me also as I usually have a black thumb and everything I touch usually dies! This has, so far, been an amazing success. We are planning our second vegetable next!

Thanks for joining our classroom and being a part of us! The children are really learning where real food comes from!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Zweig

  • HYDROPONIC Gardens to Make FOOD in the CITY!!!

    Funded Jul 16, 2013

Thank you so very much for being a part of our classroom! We have already grown our first vegetable and will be trying something new next week after the children decide what they want! This is an amazing thing as even other teachers can see food growing in a school building and understand they can grow food at home in a city! As the world changes and overpopulates, this may be a growing trend for the world to learn and is even helping in developing countries or where soil is not very good! Thanks so much from all of us!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Zweig

I am a Biology teacher in a public school. Most students apparently live in extreme poverty with very little financial means. In (2016) they additionally affected by the disastrous Louisiana flooding and several are/were displaced from their homes. Our classroom has limited resources and we are without individual supply budgets. Most of my students (about 2/3) are minorities and have limited experiences with travel, museums, etc.
