Healthy Spaces, Smiling Faces!
Funded Dec 13, 2024Thank you so much for your continued generosity. With our new items, we've been able to maintain a clean classroom, helping reduce the number of absences due to illness. When everyone tidies up and disinfects, our learning space is much healthier.
We've also been able to utilize the sensory items (chair bands, sensory stickers, lego kids, fidgets and pencil grips) in our supplies to help regulate big emotions.

Our classroom sensory materials have helped support brain development, enhance memory and complex tasks and support problem solving. As we know, sensory toys provide a calming effect, give kids something to do with their hands when they're anxious, and help them focus their bodies when they need extra support.

Funded Apr 11, 2023Our Apple Pencil is A-MAZ-ING! Our kiddos have had such a blast creating on our class iPad using our new Apple Pencil. Navigating the iPad has been much easier now for our kiddos with fine motor delays. It has definitely helped to strengthen and improve pencil grasp development.
Charging our Apple Pencil is also so much easier. We get to charge it directly to our class iPad! We were also able to dress up our Apple Pencil like a real Ticonderoga Pencil and it makes using our pencil tons more fun!

Apple Magic!
Funded Jan 31, 2023I wanted to thank you for your extreme generosity to our classroom project. It speaks volumes when people believe in what teachers do for their students and all the love that is poured into our classrooms daily.
Our Apple Magic keyboard and folio case have helped keep out new Apple iPad in pristine condition and the attached keyboard is going to make typing a lot easier for our kiddos! The case will keep our device safe for years to come and save us from tears and fears of damaging our new device!

Let's Color Our World
Funded Nov 30, 2022Thank you again for your generous donations. We are ending the school year with a bang, thanks to our amazing donors.
Our class is so excited to begin using our new tool, the Apple Pencil, to create on the iPad. We hope to use those images created on the iPad and turn them into stickers and posters and other incentives to use classroom and school wide! As the year dwindles down and it gets warmer out, some students may begin getting irritable and behaviors may escalate. What better way to ease those feelings than by creating!

Funded Nov 16, 2022Thank you for your generous donations to our project. With our "Apple a Day to Help Create" we've been able to fully put our project material to use! We've been taking the time to become familiar with the iPad, download a few apps to help up put our ideas onto the "page," and create some pretty cool designs for possible school shirts.
Now, I'd like to integrate the use of our iPad into weekly lessons and to create school event flyers! I'll also begin using our iPad as a listening/reading centers using apps such RAZ kids and News ELA.

Funded Aug 13, 2022Thank you for your generous donations! With our next desks, rug and modern seating cushion with table, our space is much more appealing. IEP and 504 meetings have have felt cozier in our space and super inviting to parents and staff alike. Our related service staff have been able to utilize their own spaces within out class that allow them to work with students in a cozier setting.
Our students are so excited with our new space and are always eager to show it off to visitors, and honestly, so am I!

We Got the "Write" Stuff!
Funded Aug 10, 2022Thank you for your generous donations! We are so excited to have a new Apple Pencil and Belkin - PowerHouse Charging Dock. We've been able to use our charging dock to easily charge our classroom iPad in a safe, central location.
We've also used our Apple Pencil to use with our iPad and help us with our fine motor development; such a change from our traditional pen/pencil/crayon to pencil use! We've created, designed, colored and completed so many activities that contribute to our school store but also help with our own development.

Funded Aug 13, 2022Thank you so much for our new carpets! They have been a hit and have made our classroom much more inviting! Our space is like a home away from home.
It's amazing was a carpet can to do a space! During a few IEP and 504 meetings within the past few weeks, parents have commented on how inviting our space has become. They mentioned that our meetings no longer feel so cut and dry in a cold space. Our meetings have a much more relaxing vibe.
