Funded Mar 31, 2023This has been a wonderful opportunity for my students to engage in reading activities in a functional manner. My students enjoyed sensory books, as well as the intricate details of many of the picture books. My students were able to engage in letter/word identification, picture vocabulary identification, as well as reading aloud with fluency. Students were able to communicate with one another regarding the readings, as well as express their feelings in regards to how each book made them feel. Reading may look a bit different in a 6:1:1 Classroom, however, it is crucial that students are exposed to a variety of rich text.”
