  • Learning Safety First (Part 1)

    Funded Dec 18, 2021

Our project was to get shields for the tables, however, I had to replace these because they were not available. Nonetheless, I chose Febreze Air Freshener Spray, Lysol, and ziplock bags to keep our classroom as safe and clean as possible. Thanks to your donations we were able to give each student a ziplock baggie with masks inside for them to keep behind their chairs, in their chair sacks. We have also used the ziplock bags to keep their materials safe as well as their independent books. We have been using Lysol and cleaning supplies every day. Every morning and afternoon we wipe the tables and well as spray the classroom to keep it fresh and clean.”

  • Safety FIRST!

    Funded Jan 1, 2022

Thanks to your donations, we were able to order paper towels, tissues and much more supplies to keep our students safe in the classroom. Every afternoon, before going home, our students clean their tables.

As you know, we also have to use Lysol frequently to keep our classroom safe and fresh. We wouldn't be able to get all those supplies on our own since they can be expensive. Thank you again for helping us keep a clean and fresh environment. Our students and I feel very grateful for your donations.”

  • Mask Up! Part 2

    Funded Sep 29, 2021

Thank you so much for your donations toward this project! I was able to get lanyards for all of my students, more masks to have available if/when needed in the classroom and refillable bottles for each student. Hand sanitizer keychains can help make sure disinfectant is always nearby. These holders have hooks or loops that can attach to backpacks, bags, and more, and they hold mini bottles that you can fill with the hand sanitizer of your choice. The students were so happy to receive their holders and their masks with a cute lanyard.”

  • Charging Our Devices

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Thank you so much for your donations! We have been able to get some IPads to support our students' learning but some of our chargers got lost last year. Since this project got funded, we have been able to charge our classroom devices. Also, we have been able to use our ELMO to demonstrate/replicate our lessons on the smartboard. Also, we were able to get adapters for our new computers so that we can also project our lessons. There are a few students that have been particularly warmed by the cables since sometimes they are forgetful and forget to charge their devices at home.”

  • Mask Up! Safety First!

    Funded Aug 17, 2021

Thank you so much for funding our project! We have been using the masks since day one as well as the hand sanitizers. As we know, one of the benefits of wearing masks is that they can help protect us and the students against other viruses. We are seeing an increase in other respiratory viruses that we don't usually see circulating this time of year, specifically two viruses, respiratory syncytial virus or RSV, and parainfluenza virus, and COVID of course. We also remind students throughout the day to keep their masks on and to use hand sanitizer whenever they need it since germs can be on their hands even though they cannot see them. Every morning when students walk in they clean their hands. Then they use it during snack time and lunch time.”

  • Enhancing Remote Learning and In Person Learning

    Funded May 6, 2021

Thanks to your donations my students have been able to get their own classroom materials. We were able to provide everything for them from composition notebooks to folders, pencils, glue sticks, crayons, scissors and much more. Our students were very excited to see that once they entered the classroom the first day pf school; they had everything they needed to succeed. The next steps for our students are to use these materias to showcase their learning. For the past year, students have been using their devices and haven't had a chance to sit down for a long period of time and do free writing using a notebook and a pencil. It feels great to see students flipping those pages and seeing their growth in their writing from the first day of school until now. Thank you so much for your donations.”

  • Cool and Clean Learning Environment to Promote Deep Thinking!

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

Our classroom is sometimes cols and sometimes hot. Unfortunately, our AC is not always working properly. Thanks to your donations, we have been using our fan everyday to keep out classroom cool. We are also happy that it serves as an air purifier. As we know, air purifiers can refresh stale air, reducing the chances of health issues caused by indoor pollutants, which can trigger respiratory infections, neurological problems, or aggravate symptoms in asthma sufferers. Quality air purifiers eliminate several types of indoor air pollutants, keeping us healthy. Thank you for your donations and thank you for helping us keep ourselves as healthy as possible.”

  • Digital Resources for Remote Learning

    Funded May 3, 2021

These funds have allowed me to purchase a variety of resources to support student learning in distance learning and will support student learning in the classroom in the future. Any resources purchased will live in my Teachers Pay Teachers account and can be accessed multiple times. The worksheets, activities, and teacher tools will provide engaging, individualized, differentiated instruction for all of my students, especially my special education and ESL students for years to come. What is even better is that many of the slides they sell in TPT is digital, meaning that students can edit from their computers/iPad/devices.”

  • Art Supplies to Promote SEL

    Funded Apr 13, 2021

Thanks to your donation, we were able to get together in the park and do some visual arts and crafts which involved activities such as painting, drawing, playing with slime, or using stamps and stickers. Constructing creative projects helps build fine and gross motor skills and allows practice with color while encouraging exploration. Our students were able tp to express their emotions through art and sharing these experiences within their school community. Students decorated their masks/totes and wore them proudly.”

  • Promoting Social and Emotional Development for All Students

    Funded Mar 28, 2021

We were able to get together with our students at the park and give them their wireless headphones. Our students were beyond excited when they opened their boxes! Many of my students have to share space and devices at home. As we know, the classroom is a noisy place (as well as our homes) on any day with the exchanging of ideas between teacher and student. This headphones will help keep the noise level at a minimum while keeping learning at a maximum. Having headphones in the classroom means enormous possibilities to enhance learning and focus.”
