  • No Such Thing as Too Many Books!

    Funded Oct 16, 2024

Thank you again for bringing our "There's No Such Thing as Too Many Books" project to life! As you know, many classrooms often lack the appropriate number and variety of books for their classroom library. Thanks to you, we were able to add 18 new titles to our classroom library. The fan favorites are: We Don't Eat Our Classmates, The Cool Bean, and Bad Apple.

Being able to offer my kiddos access to all these fun titles and ensuring that they have the latest and greatest literature is my top priority. And thanks to you, our little library features these new awesome books.

Thank you again for supporting my little classroom. :)”

  • Trick or Treat, Books Are Neat!

    Funded Oct 16, 2024

Thank you again for bringing our "Trick or Treat, Books are Neat" project to life! This was such a fun project for our first grade classroom!

We started off by decking out the room in cute Halloween decor and crafts. Then we set up a special space to display all our new Halloween stories and BOOOOOOOks. The kiddos were tickled with all their new stories and some of the top favorites were: Little Ghost Makes a Friend, The Ghost Who Was a Quilt, and The Black Cat.

As you know, reading is our absolute favorite, so any way we can incorporate a little bit more fun into it is my ultimate goal.

Again, thank you for making this project happen and for supporting my little classroom!”

  • We Want "Mo" Books for Our Classroom Library!

    Funded Feb 6, 2025

Thank you again for bringing our "We want Mo Books" project to life! As you know, Elephant and Piggie books are all the rage with early readers. And thanks to you, we now have the ENTIRE collection of Elephant and Piggie books from Mo Willems.

The day the UPS man arrived with them was a day I will never forget. The pure joy on my their faces was absolutely epic. We immediately got to work designating a special spot in our classroom just for the our new collection books. Adding the plush characters to the new book shelf was icing on the cake.

Thank you again and again for supporting my tiny classroom!”

  • Let's Get Crafty!

    Funded Dec 13, 2024

Thank you again and again for fully funding our Let's Get Crafty project!!!!

Thanks to you we were able to get tons of new supplies and materials such as: crayons for every child, including "people color" crayons, colored pencils, twistable crayons, glue sticks, manila drawing paper, playdoh, and caddies to organize our materials. The people colored crayons are such a huge hit with the kiddos. My favorite are the caddies to help organize our materials. Now that we have all of our new art tools and supplies, incorportating arts and crafts into our school day is easy peasy, lemon squeezy!

So thank you again for helping to bring creativity back into our classroom!”

  • Christmas Books and Teddy Bears!

    Funded Dec 2, 2024

Thank you again for fully funding our Christmas Books and Teddy Bears project!

The Christmas season is always bittersweet for my babies because Santa does not always visit their houses. Thanks to you, Santa was able to stop at our classroom and leave a stocking full of goodies for each and every child in our class.

I wish you could have been there to spend the day with us! We watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas while we sipped Grinch Punch and opened our stockings. Inside each stocking, Santa's elves stuffed a plush teddy, Little Golden books, coloring books, colored pencils, PlayDoh, mittens, chapstick, and tons of other fun items! Watching them cuddle their bears and read their new books to each other was absolutely one of the best moments ever.

Thank you again and again for your kindness and generosity.”

  • Back to School Basics!

    Funded Sep 19, 2024

YAY!!!! Our new materials arrived today and I cannot tell you how desperately we needed every bit of them!

I am super grateful for the Lysol wipes because we have already had all the germs germing around the classroom, doing what germs do. LOL.

Our new loot also includes much needed copy paper, yummy smelling Febreze (a must for after recess when we come inside smelling like we played hard), fresh pencils, new pencil bags, Post-its, chart paper, and paper towels!

I cannot articulate how much your support means to me. Without you, our classroom would be empty. So THANK YOU again and again. :)”

  • We Need a Whiteboard!

    Funded May 11, 2024

Thank you again for helping to bring my whiteboard project to life. :)

Now that I've been actively using a dry-erase board in my daily instruction, I cannot believe that I've been teaching for over a decade without one!

Some of the fun ways we've been incorporating our whiteboard into our day include: daily calendar math, magnetic math manipulatives, magnetic shelves to hold our daily read aloud, and a little magnetic star jar that we are filling to win a class prize.

Again, thank you for your kindness and generosity. Our new board has become one of my most favorite tools in my classroom and I am just so grateful to have it!”

  • I Can Read Too!

    Funded Aug 6, 2024

Thank you again and again for helping to bring our book project to life. You really can never have enough books in a classroom, especially with the group of first graders that I have this school year! This is my 13th year teaching first, and my kiddos this year are absolutely wild about reading, which I absolutely love! The children's favorites include: The Good Egg, Lulu and the Witch Baby, and of course all the Biscuit books. I can remember reading some of these same books in my own childhood, so it's especially heartwarming to see this new generation loving these same books.

Anywho, thank you for your support and for helping to get these books into our classroom!”
