Headphones for Our Computer Lab

Your donations have made a HUGE impact on our school Computer Lab. As adults, we take advantage of things we didn't really know make such an impact on learning. Growing up many of us probably didn't even have technology in the classroom. The students at Sunland Elementary are so lucky to be able to come to a Computer Lab with state of the art technology, but they always lacked the ability to listen to what they were learning on their computers. There was always a struggle with listening to computers and how loud the classroom would get. With your generous donations we were able to purchase enough headphones for each computer. Now our students come in and the classroom is completely quiet, but you can see that the students are able to understand what they are learning now. I see the smiles they have on their faces as they discover new sounds.

Being able to come to the Computer Lab once a week is something all the students at Sunland Elementary are excited about, but now when they walk in and see the headphones hanging from their screens they become extra excited! I am able to guide them through websites that have more games to play knowing that the class will not get too loud and out of hand. I know that when they see the headphones they see something cool and fun to use. They are able fully immerse themselves into their computers. Sometimes they are so into what they are doing they don't hear me when I tell them it is time to clean up.

With all that our school has gone through, with the destruction of our formal Computer Lab, to getting to new computers, to receiving our headphones; we greatly appreciate all your kindness.
