• Karaoke + Music = High Self-Esteem

  THANK YOU!!!!! Every teacher in America should have Karaoke machine. This speaker has altered the classroom climate in so many ways. First, the students love waking into a classroom when their favourite tunes are playing. The music perks them up and gets them in the mood to learn. The best part is when they request songs for the next day. Students who request songs are usually the first ones to arrive to class the next day. Another great thing about the speaker is allowing the students to use the microphone to read aloud. This has boosted their confidence when it comes to reading aloud. I also love letting the students control the music during independent work time. Students understand what it means to be responsible and play clean music that appeals to their teachers and classmates.

The students are eager and always willing to talk about their cool new equipment.

• Creating Community Via Music and DJing

  Your generous donations have allowed the class and I to be creative and build relationships via music. The students and I are teaching one another and diving into each others musical world. Our conversations are generating vulnerable moments where we are connecting to new generes of music via our personal connections to songs and artist we would normally not listen to. The beauty of all of this is that our personal play lists are expanding and getting to know each other in ways that we would not normally be able to.

• Modified Teams Need Equipment Too

  Thank you for your amazing donations. If it weren't for you the students would not be able to have the opportunities to interact with each other and comprehend the power of team work via sports if this project did not get funded. The students are maximizing every opportunity to use all of the equipment. They are being exposed to sports that they have never played before and the camaraderie is amazing. All of the students are also starting to understand how fitness and eating habits coincide with one another. As a result of getting this equipment the students are starting to make better choices via there eating habits and increasing there daily water intake. Lastly, the class and I are in a better situation because of your generous donations.”

• Podcast Mic Stands Needed

  Where would we be without you? Please do not underestimate the magnitude of your donations. If it were not for your donations, our podcasting project would not be "A Dream Come True." The students and I are extremely appreciative because these sturdy mic stands do not need to be handheld, propped up with index cards, or held together by tape. As we record our "Live at Lunch Podcast", we have confidence that our mic stands will not tip over if the table is bumped or fall apart in the middle of recording. These mic stands will last us for years to come and will allow us to explore topics and technology that will enhance our students academically so that they are prepared for the 21st century.”

• Classroom Printer Needed!

  Funded Feb 1, 2022

  This printer has been a life saver. It has allowed me to reproduce materials in real time. As a result, students are able to print out their work so that it can be displayed when they are done. The color option on the printer has allowed us to reproduce cool graphics and memes. This printer has empowered students to be creative and produce work that exceeds the assignment's standards because they want their work to be displayed in the front of the classroom. This classroom printer was a much needed tool that has motivated my students in many ways.

• Middle School Students LOVE to Eat!

  Thank you so much! You have no idea how much of an impact your donations have had on the students. The snacks have motivated the students to do their work and remain on task. Sadly, many of my students don't eat the school lunch nor do they bring food from home. As a result many of them go throughout the day without the proper nourishment that they need. Your snacks have been able to combat this. The Chef Boyardee, Gatorade, hot Choclate, mac and cheese, tea, and Salsbury steaks have made made a huge difference.

• Clean Air = GREAT Attendance!

  Thank you so much for your amazing generosity which has afforded us the opportunity to have this project funded. As we all know COVID-19 has impacted students, teachers and schools beyond our wildest imagination. These air purifiers have made a huge impact on our classroom. First, they have been able to clean the air within the classroom which has helped subside our fears and anxiety. Secondly, we have been able to focus without constantly thinking about contracting COVID due to our amazing air purifiers. Once again, thank you for your willingness to help create a classroom climate that is conducive to learning free from fear and anxiety.”

• New Sporting Equipment Will Help the Eagles Soar

  Your generous donations have made an incredible impact on all of the teams at Yonkers Montessori Academy. Our student athletes are excited and working out everyday using all of the new work out equipment. Their spirits and pride have definitely been impacted for the better. They are certainly getting in game shape and building camaraderie among their respective teams. The equipment is even connecting teachers who do cross fit to come out and interact with the students. As a result, teachers are now building relationships with students outside of the classroom.”
