Dare to Wobble!
Funded Mar 9, 2016My students and I are blown away by the generosity from people like you who support our classroom. The kids were SO excited today when our boxes were brought down to our classroom. It was like Christmas morning for everyone! I overheard a student say, "I cannot wait until center time today!" We use the wobble chairs at the guided reading table every day and allow students to use them throughout the day on a need to need basis. I also heard a student say, "YES, now we can actually HEAR videos being played!" The speakers are going to help the class be able to hear instructional videos being played instead of us having to strain our ears or not hearing the video at all. We greatly appreciate these new materials in our classroom - we wouldn't be able to have them if it wasn't for people like you! THANK YOU!”

Chromebook for the Classroom!
Funded Oct 7, 2015Thank you so very much for supporting our classroom and helping us have the technology we need to be successful! Since the beginning of the school year, we have been using Chromebooks in our technology class and for the new testing our school is doing this year.
It has been extremely helpful to have our own Chromebook readily available to use in our classroom. The kids are have learned so much since the beginning of the school year and are now excelling at using such a device! So far, we have used the device to practice our math facts on online websites, along with doing research for different topics we have covered in class. I, personally, have been able to take the Chromebook with me to grade level meetings to take notes online that then can easily be shared with other teachers.
The number of possibilities to use the Chromebook in the classroom are endless. I am excited to see how we continue to integrate the use of technology into our studies - and we have all of you to thank for your help!!!
THANK YOU!!!!”

Engaging Children in a Creative Way!
Funded Oct 14, 2014My students and I are beyond excited to have another iPad in our classroom! We can not thank you enough for your support of our classroom project. It truly is wonderful to see such support from family, friends, and students' parents.
Each day, the students have an opportunity to use the iPads. In the mornings, as students finish their bell work, those that finish early can use an iPad for extra math support. During literacy centers, students have an opportunity to use the iPads for reading. We found a great app this school year that has a huge library of free books for children to read and/or have the option to listen to. Every chance the students have they ask to go on this app! --Who knew reading could be so fun? Using iPads is a good way to "trick" the students into learning. It provides an outlet for learning that is different from the normal learning styles.
The students LOVE to use the iPads and we are blessed with the opportunity to be able to have them in our classroom. Without the support from everyone who has donated to this project, we would not have the resources to provide iPads to our students' every day use.
Thanks for helping make learning fun!!”

Technology and Beyond!
Funded Apr 25, 2014My students were SO excited to hear that our classroom project was funded! My students, along with myself, continue to be amazed by the generosity of people that help support our students! They are super excited to have another iPad to have the opportunity to use.
Any chance the kids have the opportunity to use the iPads, they do! There is a wonderful math app that my students use to help improve upon their math skills. It is a wonderful app because it helps students according to what they need! Each student has an individual log-in that they use and it tracks their progress. Any time they are finished early with an assignment they may use an iPad to work on their math skills.
We also have an "iPad" center during our Daily 5/Guided Reading time. I love downloading new interactive stories that the kids LOVE to watch and follow along with. It has brought a new found excitement of reading for my students!”

Technology Help In The Classroom
Funded Oct 11, 2013We have been blessed to have this new technology in our classroom! The students have the opportunity to use the iPads during guided reading centers as another option to visually see and read along with interactive stories. The kids love this part of their day! I also have used the iPad as a document camera to project math worksheets that the students are working on. It saves me time from writing/copying the problems on the board and it helps the students to visually see how I expect them to complete their papers! I couldn't ask for anything more! Thanks again for the support and giving us an opportunity to expand our technology!!”
