  • Technology Wizards!

    Funded May 4, 2022

Thank you for your generous donations. Your contribution has made a significant impact in my classroom. My students are happy to have an ipad to use in classroom that is a newer faster model. I also received a laminator. I use this in my classroom for centers as reinforcement for things they have already learned.

I am able to use the iPad to facilitate lessons with my English Language learners. I am able to bridge the gaps in learning since I am not fluent in Spanish. This ipad has helped the growth in my class tremendously.

I use this iPad in my classroom of intellectually disabled student whom are learning English.

Thank you again for the iPad and laminating machines.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Miller

  • SPED Scholars Eager to Learn!

    Funded Aug 17, 2021

Thank you so much for your support and purchasing the technology for my classroom. I am able to efficiently plan and create different modes instruction for the scholars in my class. The students my class may have multiple disabilities including intellectual disabilities and speech impairment and with technology I have the ability to allow students to work independently while I work in a small group with the other students in the classroom. I preload the lessons for each subject and student so I can provide independent assistance to other students as needed.

My students love having technology in the classroom. They have choices and a sense of ownership in choosing how they will learn the days lesson.

Every student my classroom has benefited from having access to technology.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Miller

  • Flexible seating items for Special Education Classroom

    Funded Oct 31, 2018

This just a token of appreciation for your generous donations to my classroom. The flexible seating that was donated to my class enables my students to make choices as to where they want to sit while learning. Since students learn in a variety of ways it is imperative for them to have the flexibility to sit where they desire.

Our school is currently facing a budget shortfall, so without your help, my students would not have the opportunity to have technology in the classroom. This has also enable me as a teacher to have more classroom organization. It also keeps be from having to move chairs and desks throughout the classroom.

Without donors like you, thousands of classrooms in the United States would go without. You are greatly appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Miller

  • Technology Needed for Special Education Classroom.

    Funded Sep 13, 2018

This just a token of appreciation for your generous donations to my classroom. The Amazon Fire Tablets that were donated to my class enables my students to access specifically designed curriculum every single day. Students in my class that cannot read are able to listen to stories they can understand and can work on their own pace. Those that are struggling readers do not have to be ashamed when they do not know a word because they can listen to words they do not know with a simple touch of the word.

Our school is currently facing a budget shortfall, so without your help, my students would not have the opportunity to have technology in the classroom. This has also enable me as a teacher to reduce the number of copies needed in class for copies. Since resources are limited, paper and ink supplies are not always available.

Without donors like you, thousands of classrooms in the United States would go without.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Miller

These tablets will allow students to have access to technology to access the curriculum that is individually designed for each student’s individual needs. The tablets will be used by students during literacy workstations and throughout the day. The tablets will help to bridge the gaps that my students are lacking, enable them to learn and do things they might not otherwise be able to do. Technology will help my students to access educational websites such as the Unique platform (a program designed especially for students with learning disabilities). They will have access to tutorials, guided reading, and much more. My students will also learn technology skills. Technology is a very powerful tool for education because it makes teaching and learning more meaningful and fun and allows students to learn at their own pace.
