  • The Virtual Experience

    I want to start off by saying thank you for getting my project fully funded. My desire is to make sure that my students receive the best education that I can provide them. I am a very tech savvy teacher, so I look for ways to incorporate it into my instruction. This device helped the most with my virtual students because it provided them with different apps and platforms to further instruction or make our lessons a little bit more exciting. I look forward to seeing what I can do with it next school as we transition back to being fully in-person. :)”

We use technology during the skills block portion of our EL learning. My students love to take virtual field trips out of the country to dig for fossils. We even take some of our assessments with the use of technology. Having this set of tablets will make a difference in my students' learning because it will take my small group instruction to a whole new level. This will allow for me to have different apps readily available at their fingertips. This will also allow for everyone to have access to every part of the lesson and activity at the same time. Seeing my kids glimmer with excitement when they are taken to a new place of learning is a great feeling. I notice that the learning environment shifts when we are beginning a lesson on the Promethean board. My students are most engaged, and they are actively participating in the lesson when using technology.
