Welcome to Lowell Community Charter Public School's 6th grade science! In this classroom we bring the outside world into the classroom and invigorate our young scientists with authentic chances to use their critical thinking and investigative skills. The students at LCCPS bring a variety of experiences and outlooks into the classroom. We are a diverse, inner city school with 91% of our students designated as High Needs due to low income status, English Language Learner status or Special Education status. Nearly 66% of our children come from families where English is not their primary language. The opportunities presented by this diversity bring passion, energy and true collaboration into my classroom amongst the students. These students desire greatness and appreciate every opportunity given to them. When presented with a challenge, my students do not disappoint and find ways to extend themselves.
