These books were specifically chosen to engage student interest in both reading and the Latin language. Students yearn to read Harrius Potter et Lapis Philosophi or Winnie Ille Pooh (yes, Latin is one of the MANY languages that these series has been translated into) on their first day, but they need to learn to crawl before they can walk or run! They love looking through them though, and I want to give them more opportunities to read. With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level. This will help their reading ability and hopefully also their love of reading, as they get free choice during independent reading time. I can't wait to see what they'll think of these novellas!
