With the use of the classroom carpet, A Place for Everyone, my students will be able to sit comfortably and enjoy a variety of activities. The activities that they will sit on the carpet for include; community circle, independent work, small groups, literacy instruction, and mathematics instruction. This rug allows for students to have spaces that encourage students to keep their bodies to themselves and make positive choices. Their current community space does not have designated areas that are large enough for each student to sit comfortably. Sitting in their own space gives them maximum opportunity to fully engage in the lesson or activity at hand.

About my class
