  • Bilingual Dictionaries for ELL Newcomers!

    Funded Sep 22, 2022

Thank you so much for your donations. My students use these dictionaries on a daily basis and it has helped them become more independent in their writing. The dictionaries are used both in my small groups as well as when I push into the classrooms. This resource has made a huge impact on my students and has also been a great resource for the teachers. The students love to share their dictionaries with their friends. They take pride in using these dictionaries. These dictionaries have made a huge difference in my students writing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

  • Games for English Language Learners!

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

My ELL students were so excited when the games arrived in our classroom. The students couldn't wait to unpack the games and start using them. We looked through the boxes and they loved seeing all the new games.

My students loved the games and had so much fun playing with them. My students learned how to take turns and ask their friends and classmates questions while playing the games. These games allowed my students to increase their vocabulary and to learn English in a fun way. Thank you all so much!!!”

  • Learning with the Right Stuff!

    Funded Jan 27, 2020

My kindergarten students were so excited when the supplies arrived in our classroom. The students couldn't wait to unpack the materials and start using them. We looked through the boxes and they loved seeing all the new materials . We immediately began to brainstorm ideas and how we would use these supplies in the classroom.

We decided to use our new colored chart paper to update and create new anchor charts for our classroom. The bright colored chart paper makes our room more colorful and inviting and motivates the students to use the anchor charts. We also replaced all our dry erase markers that our students use daily for phonics. The students were excited to have new markers to complete their writing. These materials allow my kindergarten students to come to school and learn with fresh new materials.”

  • Flexible Learners!

    Funded Dec 3, 2019

The flexible seating in our classroom has made such a positive impact on my students. The students previously struggled to sit at their tables throughout the school day but now have the opportunity to choose flexible seating and to move freely about the classroom with confidence and responsibility. My classroom is an ICT kindergarten class and we have different stations and centers in which the students move freely and now have choices for flexible seating which allows them to be comfortable and confident while learning.

My students were really excited when the materials arrived in the classroom. The students all wanted to try out the materials and as we created a schedule their excitement grew. The students love to lay on the pillows with the iPads as they are engaged and comfortable. The students also love to use the lap desks during writing time. The stability balls allow our students to move and help them to do their work and stay on task.

This flexible seating has helped my classroom and kindergarten students stay engaged while learning.

Thank you for your generous support.”

  • IPads for Title 1

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

The use of technology in my classroom has helped my students to be able to work on websites that enable them to read better and do math that connects to our everyday lessons. The iPads also allow students to work in flexible groups and different areas of the classroom. This is very important because different students work better in different areas of the classroom. The students have also made connections to other students and are able to work cooperatively with others now.

The most exciting thing for my students is that they are able to pick where they would like to use their iPads in the classroom. Some of my students do better on a carpet while working with the iPads while other students prefer to work at a table or a desk. Our computers in our classroom are old and do not run well so for my students to be able to use their favorite websites with success is very exciting.

My struggling students have been more successful through the use of the iPads because they can get to the websites that are needed to help them and they are finding more confidence when on the iPads. My students are also able to work in cooperative groups and now everyone can get a turn with technology. These iPads have made a tremendous difference in my classroom.”

My students love to learn through using hands on materials. They love to be able to sit and make words or play in Centers. The students will make words using the various materials which include play dough and Wiki sticks. They love listening to stories on the computers. These centers will help them become independent learners. It will allow them to work in small groups which will promote cooperative learning and team building in my classroom. These students will learn to be one team and this will also promote sharing for these children. These materials will help keep the students engaged while allowing them to be children. The best part of this is that the children will learn while having fun.
