  • Beautiful Classroom Reset

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you so much for donating to my project to help beautify my classroom. While it is still a work in progress, I was able to create a theme for my classroom and color coordinate to make it look so much nicer! The kids noticed as well as other teachers in the building. The kit from Schoolgirl Style made a big impact because all the decor items were part of the Hobo theme and helped me streamline and coordinate the colors and patterns. The labels from Etsy will provide organization for students to store and recognize their own chromebooks, making sure that they are plugged in, charged, and ready for use the next day. Your thoughtfulness is truly appreciated.”

  • Some Wit & Wisdom

    Funded Dec 20, 2024

My team and I thank you so much for donating to purchase this TPT gift card so that we can purchase Wit & Wisdom materials to augment our curriculum. This is our first year implementing this very challenging literacy curriculum and appreciate having the gift card to make purchases that will help our students access the skills needed to complete assignments.

We will be able to choose from a plethora of printed materials to boost student skills and make implementation of this curriculum more palatable for students as well as teachers. Your thoughtfulness is so very much appreciated.”

  • Magic Carpet Ride

    Funded Dec 31, 2019

This note comes extremely late by a number of years, for which I apologize. I hadn't realized that it was missing. My 2nd grade students truly loved the rug that had to be replaced due to being quite dirty. We received it not long before the covid lockdown. It has been loved and lasted us for 2 additional years. Since we received the rug, I have changed schools and grade level within my district. I was able to give that rug to another teacher in need in my building since I wasn't able to transport it. My sincere thanks and apologies for not acknowledging you at the appropriate time.”

  • Hear Ye Hear Ye

    Funded Jan 20, 2024

I can't tell you how much I appreciated your support in purchasing student headphones. Every year we seem to fall short on headphones due to headphones being broken or misplaced.

The students have been able to have regular access to their chromebooks when they either don't have their own headphones or forget them at home. I have a place in the back of the room where I hang the headphones on hooks. The students are responsible for using them and puting the away every evening.

Thanks again for choosing my classroom to support.”

    With gratitude,

  • Classroom Basics

    Funded Sep 20, 2023

I appreciate all the classroom basics that you helped to purchase. The rug was key to creating my new reading corner with the new Ikea bookcases. I finally have enough pencils since my students go through so many every dayl.

After I received the carpet, I immediately set up my reading corner. When the kids came in the next day, they were really surprised and couldn't wait to sit on it during their reading time.

Next, is to create a schedule to for kids to have access to reading on the carpet. Thank you so much for choosing my classroom to support.”

  • Charge Me!

    Funded Sep 20, 2023

I really appreciated your generous donations to support our classroom. My students use chromebooks throughout the day and require quick and easy charging. The cables that we received were crucial in helping the students be responsible for keeping their chromebooks charged and ready to use.

The kids were excited to have new charging stations as well as having the cables to charge their chromebooks. No more dead chromebooks for them! This has enabled them to keep up with assignments, research projects, and daily apps.

Thanks to you, school life is just a little bit easier.”

  • Let's Expo-dite-it!

    Funded Dec 12, 2023

Thank you so much for funding my project for personal white boards and dry erase markers for my students to use for math instruction. We use these every single day. It's so much better have smooth whiteboards over the scratched up ones we had. Now the students can easily write on them and I can see their work clearly. When working in math, it's really important for the students to be able to demonstrate their work not only to me but to each other. These materials allow them to do just that. They are really r cited to have new dry erase boards. We appreciate you!”

  • Handle the Math

    Funded May 9, 2023

The math games that we received were a huge hit! I had a group of students in charge of checking each game, learning how to play it, and turnkeying it to the next group of students. They really enjoyed being able to teach each other how to play each game and it was a great way to introduce the games to get the kids excited to play. Often, I let the early math finishers use these games to continue their math growth and it truly worked! Many students also gravitated to these games for an indoor recess choice. Hurray for math games!”

My 4th graders are quite a group that attend a K-8, urban, elementary school. While our building is quite outdated and teachers struggle to create classroom libraries, my kids are still very motivated to read and learn. Donors have funded several projects over the last year and it has made a HUGE difference in the kids being able to learn and enjoying it! The kids and I appreciate any donation, no matter the size. Every little bit brings us closer to having a better learning environment.
