These supplies will be utilized as I work with my scholars in creating their interactive science notebooks. These notebooks will provide a location for my kids to take notes, create illustrations, complete labs, and write down their thoughts on labs/lessons. The foundation pieces are the composition notebooks, pens, and pencils. The other supplies, such as colored pencils, glue, scissors, toner cartridges, and copy paper will be used to create/design foldables that'll be placed inside their ISN. I also have my kids take notes using the Cornell format. A pre-printed template will be provided which will be placed into their ISN as well. Giving low-income students access to these supplies is a critical investment in their future. Many of my students struggle to have such basic supplies on a daily basis. Upon entering our science lab, I want them to know they will have what they need for each day's lesson/lab. These items will go a long way in helping them develop organizational and critical thinking skills needed as they venture into the future.
