These resources will continue to enhance the engaging classroom environment that I strive to create. My school adopted the EL curriculum, within the last couple years, and I recently joined the third grade team. Each module within the curriculum offers a different topic and a vast selection of books. I have limited space in my classroom that having the mobile library cart would allow me to display topics for students to explore with ease. Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. The book display will enhance our ALL Block period, encouraging students to read the additional books provided related to our lesson topics during independent reading time. With this new mobile library cart, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently on topics related to our curriculum and explore other countries. The additional resources, the classroom theme and world map, will enrich our classroom because it will get students excited to learn about other cultures, as well as be able to locate the countries we talk about in our classroom discussions. Also, having the English language learners, having a world map will allow us to mark where students' families are from and create a more welcoming environment in addition to the different country flags I have hanging in my classroom.
