  • Fostering Creativity

    Funded Nov 13, 2024

I was super happy to see this surprise funding. It literally made my day. I am a firm believer that creating an inviting environment tends to allow students to be more likely to hear you out. If I can get a teenager to hear me out, it's a win. I use these materials to brighten up the room and be able to post things around the room to facilitate their learning. It has made a difference and I hope that it will continue. We are very appreciative of your support and generosity. I am forever thankful!”

I am very grateful for your generosity, nothing describes the feeling of knowing that there are many people out there supporting and rooting for you and your students. These snacks will truly be a blessing...when I see their faces glow, when they see the snacks...it's priceless. I am very grateful for the immense support and generosity that you have displayed. My students will be ecstatic when the goodies arrive. I will continue to use these goodies as a means for my students to keep motivated and content.”

  • A Colorful Classroom

    Funded Oct 23, 2024

I am very grateful for your generosity, nothing describes the feeling of knowing that there are people out there supporting and rooting for you and your students. These supplies will help my students because many of them lack the basic resources to be successful in school. So many of them work and use the income to help provide for their households, so unfortunately, supplies are not on their list for things to buy. I am glad that I am able to offer them supplies to keep them focused and learning. We are forever thankful to you and your generosity!”

  • Proud of Our NHS

    Funded Oct 3, 2024

I am very grateful for the immense support and generosity that you have displayed. I am ever grateful to you. I was so excited to share with my National Honors Society members that they no longer had to worry about purchasing the shirts and accessories to show off their pride for being a part of NHS. This brought HUGE smiles to their faces and they are immensely grateful for this. One expressed how they had no idea there was anyone out there that cared this much about them. This means so much being able to offer them these tokens of academic excellence. Thank you so much!”

As we all know, there is a lot of research that states that our children benefit from consistently reading, it is important to expose our youth to various texts as much as possible. No matter the subject area being taught, students should be reading to learn and expand their vocabulary. Learning another language in and of itself is rigorous but in order to maintain what you've learned and at the same time grow, it is important to be exposed to the language as much as possible. It is important that my students are using their time wisely and using every minute of instructional time to learn and grow. This is why I believe that a library with relevant, short and long, easy and difficult reading be available to my students. The exposure of reading materials, such as, short stories or novelettes or short books like Selena and Evita, help students continue with the language, build on vocabulary and tell them about the Hispanic culture. Reading is in fact fundamental, even in Spanish class!
