Yours, Mine, But Not Ours
Funded Jul 13, 2020Thank you so much for your generous donations. These resources have helped students in my classroom keep their items safely separated and organized from one another. Each student has their own seat sack which allows them to separately store their pencil box, their folder, their whiteboard and their other needed classroom items from one another. I believe having an individual space for each student has not only prevented the spread of germs, but it has also helped them to gain personal responsibility.”

Immigrants We Get the Job Done
Funded Jul 22, 2018My students have loved reading and discussing how immigrants bravely left their homeland in search of freedom and opportunity. These books have given my students a perspective on the freedoms we hold dear. Students have read and collaborated to understand the struggle of those in other countries, and in doing so, they have learned what makes our nation so special and unique. Through reading these books, my students have gained an open mind and acceptance of those who immigrate to our country in search of a better life.”

Full STEAM Ahead
Funded Apr 23, 2018My students were thrilled to receive the materials for our STEAM bins. We use these bins almost daily as a center in our mathematics rotation. My students have enjoyed the challenge of creating their own designs of homes, cars, buildings, and tunnels. They have shown perseverance and teamwork when asked to reconstruct or improve their design. Through the use of STEAM bins, my students have incorporated math, engineering, creativity, and art into the classroom. Thank you once again for generously donating to our class.”
