  • Science in a Flexible Environment

    Funded Aug 14, 2019

We are beyond grateful for your generous donations which were able to supply us with so many different supplies for our classroom. Seeing the look on my students' face when they saw our flexible seating area set up was priceless and something that I'll always remember. They were so excited to have an area which they could comfortably sit while reading a book, working in groups, and to overall relax.

The students especially loved it when they all gathered in the area, some sitting on the rug and others on the ottoman, and I read to them a couple books to introduce our Scientific Inquiry and Method Unit. Later on, they used the table and stools we received to complete their hands-on experiment to end our unit.

We will continue to experience amazing moments like these thanks to all of your amazing and generous donations to help support and grow our classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Augustin

  • Hands-on Science!

    Funded Jan 27, 2019

Thank you so much for your donations. These science supplies have tremendously aided my students in getting the needed motivation to help them succeed in the classroom. As many may know, implementing hands-on activities is a huge way to increase student involvement.

So far, we have used the supplies for projects such as density towers, making slime and oobleck, working on stations with a variety of hands-on activities, challenges, and plenty of other projects and activities.

One of their favorite projects was using the graduated cylinders and scales to measure different liquids and their densities. We also used the thermometers to take the temperatures of different types of liquids during different time windows.

All of this could not have been possible without the generous donations of you all.

Thank you thank you thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Augustin

  • Mad Scientists Serious About Science

    Funded Aug 13, 2017

Thank you so much for all your generous donations. Being able to have posters and vocab words relevant to whatever topic is being taught at the moment is such an effective help for the students. Also, when the students have projects to complete, whether in class or at-home, they now have the chance to print out their content in color. This gives the students self-motivation and a boost on the wonderful work that they work so hard to complete.

When they first learned that we would have a color printer in our classroom, they were ecstatic. They knew that they now wouldn't have to be embarrassed about not having their work neatly printed, let alone in color. On one specific project in which they were creating posters on different types of weather, they were all so eager to be able to print out what they wanted and needed to make the posters vibrant and colorful.

They have a few more in-class and at-home projects and brochures to work on, and the thought of showing their creativity with no limit is such a pleasure to see in them. We couldn't have done all this without your help.

    Again, thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Augustin

Welcome to my Science Classroom!! I am a second year Science teacher. This year, I will be teaching 6th-8th Grade Science and 2nd-5th Grade Gifted Science. My students are very very dear to me and I do my best to further push their already present love for Science with extra motivation through fun and interactive activities. We are a small Charter school with not very many Science Supplies. This year, I want to do my best to provide my students with more hands-on experiences and try to incorporate STEAM concepts to the best of my ability. The majority of my students receive free or reduced lunch, so many times when we are able to do science experiments, they are very limited and the materials are out of pocket. These projects will allow me to plan much better in-depth and rich Science activities to provide my students with a more interactive and hands-on Science education. Any and all help is much appreciated.
