I Remember That!
Funded Oct 28, 2019Thank you so much for helping us get the resources our children need to be successful in our state testing.
After being in 2nd grade for 6 years, I moved back up to 3rd, which is the first year of state testing in the state of Texas, and WOW! Was I surprised! Many skills were being totally overlooked. I quickly set about trying to find the resources that could help my students.
Thanks to the Limeades for Learning Campaign....I was quickly able to find the resources, post a project and get it funded! Needless to say....I was thrilled and we are on our way to preparing for our state STAAR test! Fingers crossed!”

Ink for 3rd Graders
Funded Oct 21, 2019I just wanted to thank you for your donation of ink for our 3rd grade students. This whole project was for ink for three different teachers! WOW! This ink really was a blessing!
Ink is probably one of the most important things in a classroom. We use ink to print things EVERY day! Worksheets, centers, games....you name it...we print it! It makes learning more FUN if we have games and activities to go along with the skills we are learning.

Funded Nov 1, 2019My class and I would like to send a GREAT big THANK YOU to Sonic Drive-In for helping us get a new iPad. We needed one to access our AppleTV. This new iPad makes our classroom interactive.
Technology changes so fast nowadays, if you don't try to keep up you will be left behind! This iPad with the iPencil gives us much more freedom in our classroom. I can walk around and let students be the teachers. It opens up a whole new field in education. Children are included in their learning!

We Need a Lift!
Funded Oct 7, 2019Thank you so much for helping us get new prize box items and nutritious snacks for snack time.
I teach a school system where over 60% of our students are socioeconomically disadvantaged. This means many students don't have snacks during snack time. Your generous donation helps me make sure everyone has a snack....It's no fun to try to learn while your stomach is growling.
The prize box is used as incentives to encourage good behavior and study skills. A class on task is much easier to teach than a class in disarray. We got so many neat prizes...neon glasses, glow in the dark pens, squishies, Playdoh, and so much more!

The rolling storage helps center time run smoothly! We use so many different tools and reading materials during guided reading. This storage cart helps us keep things close and easy to use.
And the desk storage items help our papers stay neat and cozy too! Keeping papers organized and neat is no easy task! We do several different skills daily in many different areas, so paper work is abundant to say the least!

Funded Apr 16, 2019We are so excited to have new storage bins to use at the front of our classroom.
This year I moved back to third grade after 6 years in 2nd grade.
I have so many manipulatives and activities but had no where to store them. These new bins help keep my class organized and ready to support my kiddos. I tried to organize and improve the FLOW of centers.
And as far as ink.... any class can always use ink! Ink is a teacher's BEST friend. Without ink it is hard to make it through the day! Centers, notes, worksheets....you name it....we print it!”

My students needed new colored pencils. Theirs were old and sharpened down to small pencils. The new classroom twistable pencils help my students be able to do journal activities and daily activities so much more efficiently. NO more waiting in line for the sharpener....yea!
They LOVE the new twistables! And they are taking such good care of them! They are so much better than normal map pencils.....

The storage is a perfect way to make sure we have lots and lots of ways to keep our centers organized and ready to use! It is so hard to keep it all together! Our classrooms are small and our students are getting larger, so I have to become more efficient and save room!
The scissors sure help when we are working on Journal activities. We a lot of journal activities to help reinforce what skill we are going over. Every little bit helps!”

The dry erase pens will be used in on our whiteboards. They will be used daily!
They will also be used for centers to reinforce the skills we are learning.
The iPod cases will keep our iPods safe.
We have a very small room and the storage containers will help keep us organized.
Behavior is always a #1 issue! These prizes will keep us trying so hard to "earn" a trip to the prize box!
