• Creating Elementary Rhythms With Small Percussion Instruments

  WE THANK YOU! When I began unpacking the instruments and passing them out - their eyes lit up like Christmas lights. The drum sets are great because now everyone has one. Makes a big difference. Thank you.

  My students are already enjoying the percussion instruments you provided for them. We Love NEW and "never used by anyone else". Our 2nd, 1st, and Kinder students are already enjoying the bells with streamers. Those instruments are made so well and students love, love the colors of the ribbons.

• Performances with Great Sound

  This wonderful new speaker has brightened our rehearsals and class time with clarity of sound of our music. Our students are having so much fun with being able to hear the music and have it loud so they can follow along easily.

  The fact that it lights up to different colors at front of the speaker is pure delight. We make movements to changes it does, and there has been fun laughter.

  We thank you. Your generosity helps us as we learn more of the joy of singing. With a microphone, a new "star" is born weekly. They loved perform! Thank you.”

• Please Grant Us Recorders So We Can Make Beautiful Music

  Thank you for the gift, recorders for my students. Because of your generosity, students are taken what they have learned in reading notes and the staff and actually playing them on an instrument.

  My hope is that our students enjoy the plan of an instrument and will continue in middle school and high school. There are many scholarships available for college from playing an instrument successfully. It is my dream they become the best them they can be.

• With Their Own Recorder, We Will Make Beautiful Music Together

  Our students are so excited about your gift of the new recorders. They have had a great time learning an instrument. I ask them "do you realize you are making an object make sound that is entertaining?". Our students eyes light UP at that realization.

  Thank you for providing for our students. They need the encouragement and hope of learning an instrument in Middle School, to High School ... to Scholarships for College. I want them to become the Best "me" they can be.

• GREAT Performances Begin With us and a New Stereo.

  As you can see from our pictures, our students are all ages (PK thru 6th Gr), sizes, and smiles. It is my blessing to be called their "Music Teacher". Our pictures demonstrate the pride and joy of our students and their musical abilities.

  The stereo you provided for us is used in my Portable Classroom daily for at least 7 hours, or, in preparation for our Christmas/Holiday performance, picked up, loaded up and moved to our auditorium. This stereo provided good sound volume for our students as they rehearsed and rehearsed in preparation. Such a nice change from a boombox that was held together with duct tape.... literally.

  So we THANK YOU for providing us with this stereo. Anytime you are close to Stevens Park Elementary in Dallas ISD, please stop in. I know I can get students to sing and perform for you. They would love it! Thank you, have a good 2022.”

• Music Class Recorders Needed

  What a gift you have given to our students! My students are working so well with the recorders.

  Immediately when the large, big box arrived back in January and the word began getting around "their here!", students could not wait to get to Music Class to get their own NEW recorder. Our students have done excellent in taking care of their instrument. They are working exceptionally well at reading music and playing "real" songs (their words, not mine) such as "Hot Cross Buns" and "Recorder Bash" which are in our Texas Curriculum called Quaver.

  A few students that are at times a bit lazy and/or not interested in the lesson have grasped playing the recorder. Students LOVE playing their recorders together ... and they are GOOD, I mean REALLY good! Rarely does a student leave their recorder at home accidentally and not have it to bring to class. Our Principal has been amazed at how very well they are doing. Instead of waiting till May 2016 when our 5th grade student usually perform at the PTA for parents, teachers, etc., she has requested they play in March for PTA. THAT is a big deal. THANK YOU.

  Finally, one morning about two weeks ago, one of our 5th grade boy students came in and said "Ms. H.? Do you know what my parents said about me playing the recorder? They are PROUD of me!". This boy is sometimes the only one to announce is class how "bored" he is --- not anymore. He is awake, eager, and ready to play his recorder.

  From your gift of the recorders, you are giving the gift of music and hope. Many of our students come from challenging situations and this gift of a recorder is opening new doors that will someday lead to band and/or choir members which will lead to scholarships for College.
